It is a tradition to light up firecrackers at 12:00 mid night to celebrate the arrival of the new Lunar Year. I happen to witness the incredible moment when fire works lit up the whole skyline of Beijing! It is an awesome experience. From what I know, almost all of the fireworks are being lit up by local residents. It seems that everyone is out on the street celebrating.
