I find that the Three Girls are the best overall for just about any combat situation (except being nice to people which ticks silly Morrigan off). Set your Tactics for each character based on your desires for combat. I find the following works best for me: Leliana, Archer; Wynne: Supporter (sometimes Healer); Morrigan: Controller (sometimes Debilitator). These work the entire game, but change Wynne to Healer and Morrigan to Debilitator for Dragon or nasty boss fights. Leaving them on Default is fine, though in dungens you'll sometimes catch Morrigan just Running Off as if she were the Tank, since some of her control abilities are short range. Keep her on a short leash (actively control her or put her on passive as needed) and you cannot be stopped with The Girls. I add Self-Health 25% (or 50% for Wynne)-Use Health Poultice least powerful to all my Companions Tactics; and the same for Mana with Lyrium. In long battles in the early game usually only Morrigan will use mana potions if at all. These tactics can be tweeked as you see fit based on taste or strategy. For example, I get Enemy Nearest Visible Mage-Cast Petrify, followed with Enemy:Paralyzed-Stonefist for Wynne asap. That way I know that any caster in the area is going to be effectively instantly killed. It goes without saying that you will want to get the Entropy, Sleep set for Morrigan (and later Wynne too if you want), and the Spirit Mind set for Crushing Prison for both mages (which is the ultimate power in the <b>...</b>
