I totally adore Rip Van Winkle, and I was really curious what She'd sound like in English. I was rewarded with Kari Wahlgren who did a delightful job and interestingly also worked with Crispin Freeman (Alucard) before on the Anime Blood+ I guess they like Vampires. Rip sounds absolutely evil and just slightly insane, which is perfect. I also don't know why I never really noticed before but when she steps off the Chopper she's talking about how awesome she is to no one in particular which I find amusing. =D "Tinker tailor soldier sailor..."

US actor Joseph Jefferson (1829-1905) / Rip Meets Minnie After Twenty Years' Absence / Rip Van Winkle (Washington Irving) / Recorded: 1903 -- Joseph Jefferson via wikipedia: Joseph Jefferson, commonly known as Joe Jefferson (February 20, 1829 - April 23, 1905), was an American actor. He was the third actor of this name in a family of actors and managers, and one of the most famous of all American comedians. In 1859, Jefferson made a dramatic version of Washington Irving's story of "Rip Van Winkle" on the basis of older plays, and acted it with success in Washington, DC He arrived at Sydney in the beginning of November 1861, and played a successful season introducing to Australia Rip Van Winkle, Our American Cousin, The Octoroon and other plays. He opened in Melbourne on March 31, 1862, and had a most successful season extending over about six months. Seasons followed in the country and in Tasmania. In 1865 Jefferson with health recovered went to London and arranged with Dion Boucicault for a revised version of Rip Van Winkle. It ran 170 nights, with Jefferson in the leading part. Jefferson would continue acting in this show for 40 years. Returning to America, Jefferson made it his stock play, making annual tours of the states with it, and occasionally reviving The Heir-at-Law in which he played Dr. Pangloss, The Cricket on the Hearth (Caleb Plummer) and The Rivals (Bob Acres). History: Atop a coastal salt dome on Lake Peigneur, Rip Van Winkle Gardens is 20 acres surrounding the Joseph Jefferson Home, built in 1870 by acclaimed American actor Joseph Jefferson and listed on the National Register of Historic Places. Jefferson purchased "Orange Island" in 1869 and built his winter home here, to enjoy the fine hunting and fishing and relatively mild climate of south Louisiana for 36 winter respites from the stage. Though Jefferson performed a great many roles in the theaters around the world, it was the role of Rip Van Winkle, as adapted by Jefferson from the Washington Irving tale, that ensured Jefferson's fame. He played the role more than 4500 times.

Teegarden & Van Winkle God, Love & Rock N' Roll
Teegarden & Van Winkle were composed of Skip Knape (electric organ, organ pedal bass, vocals), and David Teegarden (drums, vocals). Formed in Tulsa, they took their folksy, humorous rock to Detroit. Their single "God, Love and Rock & Roll" peaked at #22 on the Billboard Hot 100 in 1970. At times they worked with Bob Seger, appearing live at gigs and even producing an album together with Seger and guitarist Michael Bruce (Smokin' OP's, 1972). Teegarden later appeared as the drummer in Bob Seger's Silver Bullet Band, recording four further albums with Seger. The duo reunited for another album, Radioactive, in 1997.
