This band could have and should have been hugely successful, but they were simply too far ahead of - and defiantly out of step with - their time to gain much traction with a mass market conditioned toward MTV-friendly fodder like Duran Duran. X is anAmerican punk rock band, formed in Los Angeles, California in 1977. While they achieved only limited mainstream success, they were widely considered one of the most revered of Los Angeles' many punk bands.
