Also you drink way too much, have alienated all of your friends, and spend entirely too much time at your computer in your underwear. But I guess that is beside the point. Anyhoo, you will definitely want to see "The Swarm", which is quite easily the most side-splittingly funny of all of director Irwin Allen's big budget disaster epics. Ant-inspired Control for Swarms of Flying Robots
The SMAVNET Project lis.epfl.ch We aim at designing swarms of flying robots to deploy aerial communication networks in disaster areas. Rather than relying on GPS or other positioning sensors that might be unreliable, impractical or expensive, robots rely on local communication with neighboring robots to self-organize. However designing controllers for swarms is challenging. To address this problem, inspiration is taken from ants that can optimally deploy to search for and maintain pheromone paths leading to food sources in nature. This is analogous to the deployment and maintenance of communication pathways between rescuers using flying robots. Hey guys - Just getting out my next campaign demo. Sorry it cut out at the end - Fraps was being gay! General Idea: -Use limited forces as you battle your way through swarms of Zerg, using the money you get from killing them to request reinforcements to help you - but be careful, lose your warp prism, and lose your reinforcements :) -Killing the 3 hatcheries will end the scenario in defeat... For now.... I plan to later add more to the scenario, Perhaps a cerebrate that attacks? And has a BOSS BAR? :D What you will see in the campaign -Alternate method of getting reinforcements without constantly building them. -Enhanced UI (Use of text tags - Use of UI buttons) -Clever event triggers -Further enhanced tranmissions (Based on leaked campaign videos) -Use of AI (If I can figure it out) Current Problems: -Request reinforcements triggers are REALLY buggy. -Need to work on terran little more. -Need to further work on the hero immortals special ability (Ion Blaster) -Need to balance out some of the units. -Some triggers need small tweaks. My bees are swarming and I am in the middle of a meeting!
This was a little miracle, as swarming bees invariably are. The timing was fantastic - I was in the middle of a meeting (biodynamic agriculture people, no less! and we all rushed out to see the beautiful bees. IThey conducted themselves perfectly - twelve people watching with various degrees of nervousness, I imagine ... and nobody got stung. I am proud of my bees, they are part of the millions flying for the Natural Beekeeping Trust. They take their diplomatic mission seriously. Bees, by the way, love swarming and so do we! Hoping for many more swarms this month!
