Is God Omnipotent? Biblical Pwnage.
If any of you amateur Apologists wish to submit an answer to this weeks challenge while your God is on this extended vacation knock yourselves out, my comments are as always unmoderated and open. Is God omnipotent? The Christians claim their God is all powerful. They all say that if he is not all powerful and can do anything he pleases then he is not God. Matthew 19:26 But Jesus looked at them and said, "With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible." Genesis 18:14 Is any thing too hard for the LORD? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son. Jeremiah 32:27 Behold, I am the LORD, the God of all flesh: is there any thing too hard for me? Revelation 19:6 And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, and as the voice of mighty thunderings, saying, Alleluia: for the Lord God omnipotent reigneth. Now we all know about the absurdity of this claim and the Omnipotence paradox which in simple terms says that God cannot make a rock too heavy for him to lift. However as this is only a theoretical problem and can never be tested it allows Theist Apologists to worm their way out with weasel words and tortured logic. However I have come up with something that God cannot do, something that is very real and easily demonstrated. I will say a sentence that makes perfect sense, and then I will explain why it is impossible for God to write this sentence down in a way <b>...</b>
