Sam the seagull stealing Doritos
A sneaky seagull has turned shoplifter by wandering into a store and helping himself to his favourite crisps. The fearless bird lies in wait every day and pounces at a corner shop in Aberdeen when the door opens. He sneaks in, grabs his spicy Doritos, then flies off with them in his beak and shares them with other birds. The seagull, nicknamed Sam by staff and customers, has become so popular locals have started paying for his crisps. Shop worker Sriaram Nagarajan, 22, said: "Everyone is amazed by the seagull. "For some reason he only takes that one particular kind of crisps, nothing else will do for him. But he's got it down to a fine art. He waits until there are no customers around and I'm standing behind the till, then he raids the place." Bosses at the RS McColl shop have now decided to keep the door closed to try to deter Sam. But customers have taken pity on the bird and have started donating money to keep him in Doritos. Sriaram added: "He's becoming a bit of a celebrity. Seagulls are usually not that popular but Sam is a star because he's so funny." - Ananova

Seagull Steals Doritos
www.facebook.com A seagull in Scotland has developed the habit of stealing chips from a neighborhood shop. The seagull waits until the shopkeeper isn't looking, and then walks into the store and grabs a snack-size bag of cheese Doritos. Once outside, the bag gets ripped open and shared by other birds. The seagull's shoplifting started early this month when he first swooped into the store in Aberdeen, Scotland, and helped himself to a bag of chips. Since then, he's become a regular. He always takes the same type of chips. Customers have begun paying for the seagull's stolen bags of chips because they think it's so funny.

Funny Seagull
Found a seagull on McDonalds car park walking backwards with a bag on its head. It had obviously lifted it to get some chips and was trying to walk backwards out of it. Soko Galeb - Yugoslavian Seagull

Copyright © 2005 Historical Aviation Film Unit ---------------------------- First flown in 1961, the Galeb ("Seagull") was the first Yugoslavian jet design to enter mass production (in 1964), and was initially designed as a tandem two-seat trainer. Featuring the same 2500lb thrust Rolls-Royce Viper II turbine engine as used in its contemporary, the Aermacchi MB-326, the Galeb had a maximum speed of around 780km/h. The types straight wing (which provides for safer landings with less likelihood of stalling), and the fact that the undercarriage retracts into the wings and not the fuselage (making for a heavier aircraft) highlight the fact that the aircraft was originally intended to be a trainer only. However, the design was later modified to create a single-seat light attack aircraft, the J-1 Jastreb ("Hawk"). The Jastreb included a strengthened airframe and sported an improved Viper engine providing 500 pounds more thrust than that of the Galeb. Other changes included the addition of extra hardpoints for ground attack rockets and an extra 12.7mm gun in the nose (making a total of three guns). During the 1960s, the G-2 was shown at the international airshows in Farnborough and Le Bourget, where it proved to be as good as the main Western European training aircraft of the time (Jet Provost, Fouga Magister and Aermacchi).
