Alright, here's another quick preview for Dragon Rhapsody Volume 2. ^_^ I said I'd provide some twice a week on some weeks, and this week might have well been one of them. Permeles sent me a couple of track requests, one of which being Spike's Arena from Spyro 3. As far as track coverage is concerned, this will end up being the third to last one on the album sequentially, so this meant going in for as much energy as possible to reflect what the original track had. It wasn't easy trying to distinguish one thing from another, given its more rhythmic focus over a melodic one, but it was still good fun. Just like with the Volcano Slide preview over the weekend, no matter how hard I tried there was no way I could stall for time with this boss, and this time it was due to the fact that Spike is - in my honest opinion - THE hardest boss that Insomniac had conceived in their run of the Spyro series. It's all about fast reactions with this one, and if you're not too careful he could hit you where it hurts, lethally, with either his cannon or his fists; if you're REALLY unlucky you could also find yourself running into a fiery updraft later on in the fight. To compensate, I slipped in some Sorceress's Lair footage from the same game, namely because that for all versions of the game except for the NTSC Greatest Hits release, that track is used when you fight against her as well. So yeah, there we go. Remember, I have no room for any more requests, so lean back and anticipate what's ...
