MERINDA the shortmovie (ITALY - UK 2004) Sinopsi in English- Italian - Spanish: --------------Merinda: The drink thats almost a snack is the slogan hounding a broken-hearted young Mod Its the first short digital film produced by 3Phase productions in 2004, now Organica Film Division. Its an exquisitely subcultural cross-section of the life of two friends, dealing with everyday feelings and situations, in a stylistically British context transposed to an all-Italian urban setting, fuelled by a carefully-chosen soundtrack and subtle referencing from all the movies that we care about The majority of the cast, young people actually involved in the subcultures at the centre of the film, had had no previous professional acting experience, yet held their own with professional actors like the female lead, Letizia Letza. The male leads, Fabio and Pigi, are a hilarious trump pairing very much playing themselves. It waspresented for the first time at the 20th Anniversary Italian Job Mod Rally in Rimini.
