CAIRO — The Pakistani Taliban claimed responsibility in a video released Sunday for the attempted car bomb attack in Times Square in New York City. In the 1 minute, 11 second video allegedly released by the Pakistani Taliban, the group says the attack is revenge for the death of its leader, Baitullah Mehsud, and the recent slayings of the top leaders of al-Qaida in Iraq — Abu Omar al-Baghdadi and Abu Ayyub al-Masri — who were killed by US and Iraqi troops last month north of Baghdad. An unidentified speaker on the tape, uncovered by the US-based SITE monitoring group, also says the attack comes in response to American "interference and terrorism in Muslim Countries, especially in Pakistan." The claim could not be immediately confirmed. The tape makes no specific reference to the attack; it does not mention that it was a car bomb or that it took place in New York City. A text in gold letters on a black background at the start of the video congratulates Muslims for the "jaw-breaking blow to Satan's USA." As the speaker recites the message, images of the slain militants referred to flash across the screen. English subtitles are provided at the bottom of the screen. Tuesday, 21st Sep. 2010 Did you see the small embedded device that came in with today's newspaper in Mumbai ? It was part of an ad for Volkswagen Vento. When you opened the newspaper, there was a full-page ad for the Volkswagen Vento. A small dark-chocolate-brown 65 x 35 x 5 mm thermoformed plastic box pasted to the newspaper started playing a hardwired 16-second MP3 audio file with the VW ad. "Best-in-class German engineering is here! The new Volkswagen Vento, built with great care and highly innovative features. Perhaps that's why it breaks the heart of our engineers to watch it drive away! The new Volkswagen Vento! Crafted with so much passion. It's hard to let it go! Volkswagen! das Auto!" The device was a cheap vacu formed plastic box with a photo-transistor and a speaker. A single chip MP3 player with two button-cell batteries, played the sound clip. The open plastic box containing the embedded electronics was closed and cemented to the newspaper with a double-sided adhesive foam sheet. The group makes music that is strongly based on the tradition from Aceh, which dominated by percussion and percussion instrumens, such as the rapai, geundeurang, tamboe, rapai pasee, and the seureune kalee. The word "kande" comes from Acehnese and means 'hanging lamp'. It is traditional lamp that uses 9 wick, and it became an important tool to light the environment for the people of Aceh in the times of drakness that they experienced as a result of the prolonged violence that had engulfed their lands. I will admit I'm not the brightest bulb on the tree, but just when I thought I had this record all figured out, I suddenly realized I don't have it figured out at all. I totally switched from hating "Le Noise" to digging "Le Noise." It didn't take me long. But listen - what review is worth writing that doesn't make the author sit down and reflect about the subject? I posted this three part series because it is such a horrible problem today, and it needs to be addressed. Francis Schaeffer addressed it in the best way I've seen so I wanted to share it with you all. The idol of 'personal peace and affluence' is being served not only by those professing atheism and humanism, but also many who profess Jesus Christ.
