Classic Game Room - FIGHTING MASTERS for Sega Genesis review

Classic Game Room reviews FIGHTING MASTERS for Sega Genesis by Treco from 1992. This fighting game suffers from a great many thing, most notably everything. Gameplay is sloppy and sluggish, controls are overly basic and awkward and there is no kind of strategy whatsoever because there aren't any moves to speak of. Repetition and a lack of background variety really nail the hammer into the coffin for Fighting Masters, one of the worst fighting games for the Sega Genesis.

Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Battle 22 review for PlayStation. Classic Game Room reviews Dragon Ball Z Ultimate Battle 22, a fighting game from Funimation and Infogrames released in 2003 for the original Sony PlayStation... that's right, 2003. This was originally released in Japan in 1995 and may have been more exciting upon its release, but sluggish gameplay, bland background visuals and lackluster fighting make this a Dragonball Z game to pass on. Stick with the Dragonball Z Budokai games instead!

The King of Fighters XIII: Tutorial Series: Stage 2: Fighting Game Player, Part 1

Get schooled by James Chen and KANE317 of Dream Cancel. With the triumphant return of fan favorite characters like Mai, K', and Vice, extensive refinement of the core fighting engine based on community feedback, and vastly improved network functionality, THE KING OF FIGHTERS XIII represents the HD entry in the series that fans have been waiting for. Painstaking effort has been made to address every last concern following the last entry: fights play faster; the addition of over a half dozen play modes offers variety and replayability; the game's beautifully rendered and animated character sprites are better distinguished from the backgrounds--which happen to be richer and more detailed; the camera perspective is less restricted; fighters have more moves, including new supers and the all-new NEOMAX supers; and much, much more! Mortal Kombat 2011 - "Epic Trailer"

EDIT - June 27, 2010: I had to post this after I saw the feedback, but lead Mortal Kombat programmer (and co-creator) Ed Boon had this to say about this variation of the trailer: "That IS Epic...good job man! Makes ME want to play the game! " You can't get better feedback than that ;-) This is something I threw together one night by tweaking the officially released E3 trailer for the next Mortal Kombat game and adding "Freedom Fighters" by Two Steps From Hell as the background music. That being said, the music should sound familiar to fans of JJ Abrams' Star Trek :-b I don't know about you all, but I'm pumped as all hell for this game... and it's been YEARS since I've been *this* excited for a Mortal Kombat game. Probably since I was in elementary school ;-)

The WORST Fighting Game Ever Made: Brutal Above The Claw Review (Sega 32x)

Brutal, or Brutal Legend: Above The Claw is a 1995 travesty for the Sega 32X. It is BRUTAL to actually land a hit, it has awful sound effects of legendary proportions, and I would rather be under the claw of a hungry grizzly than ever play this again. I can't imagine how anyone would release a fighting game where half of your attacks don't connect and the other half are blocked. Was game testing illegal in 1995? Is this game just a subtle anti violence PSA that teaches children Martial Arts should not be used to actually hit anyone? WHY DOES A BUNNY PRACTICE KUNG FU WHEN THEY ARE CLEARLY BETTER SUITED FOR MUAY THAI WITH THEIR POWERFUL LEG MUSCLES!? WOOOOOY! Overgrowth: Animal fighting HD video game trailer - PC Mac Linux

www.gamezplay.org - Overgrowth takes place in the savage world of Lugaru where rabbits, wolves and other animals are forced to use paws, claws and medieval weaponry to engage each other in battle. Combining 3rd person adventure platforming with intricate melee combat, Overgrowth achieves a unique feel. Overgrowth also benefits from Wolfire's brand new Phoenix Engine which has been built from the ground up to allow the use of cutting edge graphics, animation, and physics. Add to these exciting features Overgrowth's realistic artificial intelligence and streamlined control system and the result is an astoundingly immersive experience. KEY FEATURES Streamlined Combat Controls: Overgrowth uses combat contextual controls to eliminate the need for button mashing, combo memorization, and elaborate flight-sim inputs. With only one designated attack button and a multi-purpose grab button, Overgrowth allows players to execute dozens of intuitive combat maneuvers. Combat Strategy: Overgrowth levels present players with an environment and a set of objectives. However, beyond this initial setting, players are given complete freedom to determine when, where and how they should attack. There are multiple logical solutions for each level meaning players can adopt thinking patterns most suited to them. Classic Game Room HD - MORTAL KOMBAT vs DC UNIVERSE review 1

Part 1 of 2. Watch in High Definition. Classic Game Room reviews MORTAL KOMBAT vs DC UNIVERSE for the Xbox 360 video game console, MK vs DC is also available for Sony Playstation 3 PS3. This Mortal Kombal vs DC Universe review features gameplay footage from the game in HD. This is an awesome fighting 3D fighting game, no way around it. From Midway, Warner Bros. and DC Comics comes this bizarre yet enjoyable combination of the Mortal Kombat franchise and the DC comic book characters like Superman, Batman, Lex Luther, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern and Catwoman. The Mortal Kombat characters that you know and love are here for mortal combat including Raiden, Sonya Blade, Jax, Scorpion, Sub Zero and Liu Chang. Which universe will you choose to fight in? That's the beauty of this game, fight a parallel storyline with one of two opposing sides. The writing in this game is campy, impossible and awesome. Fatality moves for Mortal Kombat and DC characters are in the game, and although the violence has been toned down a bit with DC Heroic Brutality (seriously??), the Fatality moves are fun to watch and nicely rendered in 3D animation. In many ways this is a superior game, Mortal Kombat vs. Soul Calibur IV or Virtua Fighter 5... who wins? CGRHD likes this game better, short and easy to memorize button combos, great gameplay and that awesome mixture of DC and MK characters. One of the better fighting games out there for the 360 and PS3. Classic Game Room HD reviews new games with ...

Fatal Fury 2 review. Classic Game Room reviews FATAL FURY 2 for Sega Genesis from Takara and SNK, the 16-bit version of SNK's awesome Neo-Geo fighting game originally released in 1992. Featuring improved visuals and sound compared to the first Fatal Fury on Genesis, Fatal Fury 2 also has more fighters (12 total that I know of) and a survival mode as well as six-button Sega Genesis controller support. Background visuals, fighter details and the overall graphics aren't up to SNK Neo-Geo standards but look good for the mighty Sega Genesis (aka Sega Mega Drive). Classic Game Room - FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION review

Classic Game Room reviews FIGHT NIGHT CHAMPION from EA Sports for Playstation 3 PS3, also available for Xbox 360. Fight Night Champion excels in the graphics department with fighters that look exactly like their real-life human being counterparts. Cool lighting, slick visuals and awesome cut scenes make this a winner for boxing fans. Those more into traditional videogame fighting games like Street Fighter II, Mortal Kombat and Tekken 6 may not enjoy the attempt at a more realistic approach to the boxing style, but with a variety of difficulty levels Fight Night Champion can be played by anyone from button mashers to aficionados. Play friends online, kick ass in a pick up and play mode or plow through the Rocky meets Penitentiary storyline. Fighters include Mohammed Ali, Mike Tyson, George Foreman, Evander Holyfield, Oscar De La Hoya and many more. Classic Game Room - ULTRAMAN for Super Nintendo review

Classic Game Room HD reviews ULTRAMAN for Super Nintendo SNES from 1991. Based on the 1960's Japanese television show, Ultraman is a campy, cheesy fighting game where you play as Ultraman and beat the life bar out of cheesy monsters invading from space (or the back lot straight out of wardrobe). From Ban Dai, Ultraman may capture the cheesy feeling of the shows but fails to deliver good fighting game controls. Slow and sluggish controls, awkward movements and sloppy gameplay mechanics send Ultraman to the bargain bin. Yes, not all is bad in Japanese TV land! Ultraman is a cheesy, bad fighting game on the Super NIntendo! A rarity indeed, Ultraman has more in common with campy Genesis action titles like Death Duel and Cyborg Justice than most top shelf SNES titles like Super Metroid and Yoshi's Island.

Classic Game Room - DEAD OR ALIVE for Sega Saturn review

Classic Game Room reviews DEAD OR ALIVE for Sega Saturn from 1996, the original DOA fighting game before the Dead or Alive series turned into soft core porn videogames with beach volleyball and jet skis. The first Dead or Alive fighting game plays like a cross between Virtua Fighter and Tekken. Game has an arcade mode, survial and two player versus vs. gameplay. Controls work well with Sega Saturn model 1 or 2 controller and gameplay is fast, smooth and responsive. Awesome "boobie physics" give the girl fighters zero G boobs that move and bounce long after they stop fighting giving players a good laugh after getting an ass whooping. Classic Game Room HD - THE KING OF FIGHTERS XII for PS3 review

Classic Game Room HD reviews THE KING OF FIGHTERS XII for Playstation 3, also on Xbox 360 as well as PS3. The King of Fighters series celebrates its 15th anniversary this year with the release of The King of Fighters 12 on PS3 and Xbox 360. 22 playable characters, about a half dozen environments and completely redrawn hand drawn 2D animation. The visuals are incredible, the fighting is fast and easy to get into, the online is choppy and sluggish. As long as you enjoy the single player mode or playing with a friend in the same room you'll dig this game (if you dig good fighting games). This CGRHD review of The King of Fighters XII has gameplay from The King of Fighters 12 on PS3 showing game play in action on this fighting video game from SNK / Playmore. Fans of 2D side scrolling / fighting video game should enjoy the reworked old school arcade style of KOF 12 and the breathtaking HD visual presentation. Controls are excellent and loading times are quick, aside from a laggy online experience this is a cool game to check out.

Fighters Megamix is a Sega fighting game that basically combines Fighting Vipers and Virtua Fighter 2 with characters from Virtua Cop and Daytona USA. Classic Game Room - TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS for Nintendo Wii review

Classic Game Room HD reviews TOURNAMENT OF LEGENDS for Nintendo Wii from High Voltage and Sega. This unique fighting game from High Voltage is published by Sega for Nintendo Wii. It can be played with the classic controller (Classic Controller Pro used for this review) or the standard Wiimote and nunchuk for motion controls. Numerous fighters await you in a different style of fighting game that stands out from the standard fare. Tournament of Legends is not dependant on special moves and button combos, rather it relies on tactical positioning and unleashing huge magic spells after landing hits on your enemy. A fun game that is a shock to the system because of its uniqueness, give it more than a few minutes when you play it. The control scheme is different and requires some practice, but once mastered you'll probably enjoy your Tournement of Legends! This CGR review of Tournament of Legends has gameplay from Tournament of Legends on Nintendo Wii showing Tournament of Legends game play in HD.
