NOTE - If you can sit through my Rush riffing, I do some lead stuff afterwards. Showing off a beautiful looking, playing, and sounding stock ES-335 Reissue. This guitar was made in the "Memphis Custom" shop around 2 weeks ago. It arrived at the dealer a few days ago and I bought it yesterday! This guitar is a VERY good example of a GOOD Gibson! Anyway, I'm playing it through my Mesa Electra Dyne 1x12" combo loaded with SED EL34 power tubes and the stock preamp tubes. No pedals or anything. Listen to that TONE!

I'm exploring the fretboard and going into unfamiliar areas. Thought I'd share this video of it for the heck of it. Sidearms was one of few games I played better than my brother long ago. I mashed button so hard, tip of finger nail got torn off all the time. I used PS joypad on MAME, so my fingernail is safe. It took several try to to make 1 coin clear gameplay. Speed of your robot can be insane. you move so fast, sometimes you fly through bullets without any harm.(especially robot's legs)

I just got this amp yesterday, so I'm still getting to know it. But I figured I'd go ahead and post this test video to get some feedback. The amp is stock. The guitar is a '58 Reissue Gibson Les Paul with the stock Burstbucker 1/2 pickups and upgraded pots and caps from Dr. Vintage. The pedals I turn off and on throughout this video are a Bad Horsie II Wah, BYOC Phaser, and a Boss DD20 Delay.

Today we are comparing two of Mesa/Boogie's finest 2x12 cabinets, the 2x12 Rectifier and 2x12 Electra Dyne. Even though these two cabinets are loaded with the same speakers, the Celestion Vintage 30, they yield a completely different tone. The Rectifier cab has a punchy bottom end with some top end sizzle. The Electra Dyne's forte is all in the mids. We used a Royal Atlantic for this demo and distance mic'ed the cabs with a Royer R-121. Originally released in arcades in 1986 by Capcom and later ported to the PC Engine/Turbografx-16 in 1989 (as well as a variety of other home machines), Side Arms Hyper Dyne is a shooter (or shmup, if you prefer) along the lines of two other Capcom shooters, Section Z and Forgotten Worlds. This is a fantastic shooter for the TG-16. Great 16-bit graphics and music, and a wide variety of power ups, which are essential to a good shooter in my opinion! A nice touch is the ability to shoot forward or backward using the TG-16's two face buttons. The game can get pretty devious with this mechanic, and although it starts off quite pleasant, it quickly becomes quite challenging. At this time, Side Arms is not available for the Wii's Virtual Console, but if you have a TG-16, or even any of the other classic computers it's available for (including the Commodore 64, Amiga and ZX Spectrum), I'd highly recommend checking out this little gem. Side Arms Hyper Dyne was reviewed using the Turbografx-16 version.

The only effects you hear in this video are my BYOC Phaser, Boss DD20 Delay, and MXR 10-band EQ for lead volume boost. The Electra Dyne combo has the stock tubes and speaker. Killer amp! I'm not using any pedals to boost the distortion in this video, but I do have an EH LPB1 that I use to kick it into high gain. That pedal rocks.
