Doctor was released on 1940 Bengali film starring Pankaj Mullick, Indu Mukherjee, Bharati Debi, Ahindra Choudhruy, Kanu Bandopadhyay. The Bengali film is directed by Phani Mazumdar. Pankaj Mullick scored the music in the film. The story is as Amaranth comes from a family rooted in tradition. He studies Medicine and holds progressive views. In the some village that he lives in is a girl Maya. Maya was deserted by her finance at the wedding. This becomes reason enough for the villagers to treat her as an untouchable. Her father is on his deathbed. Amaranth, who feels the injustice, promises the dying man that he will look after Maya, on hearing this, Amarnath's father Sitanath decides to marry him off to prevent any liaison with Maya. However, Amarnath insists on marrying Maya and leaves his ancestral home following a quarrel with his father. He vows not to use his family name. He marries Maya and starts practicing as a doctor. Maya gives birth to a son. But she dies in childbirth. Amarnath tries bringing up his son on his own but soon decides to leave the child in Sitanath's care. The child soon grows up to be a young man, wanting to marry a low-caste girl. This is not acceptable to Sitanath. However, after a confrontation, Sitanath agrees to the match. It is on the wedding day that reconciliation takes place between Sitanath and Amarnath. And the best part is it wasn't planned or anything! but HAPPY BIRTHDAY, DAVID TENNANT!!!!] You know how sometimes you have crazy ideas that you think might work, but at the same time might not, and yet you keep going with them because you think "What the hell?" and hope for the best? Well, this is it for me. I'd been considering making a project like this for some time until I came across a couple of songs that pretty much begged me to add them to something like this (especifically, "Tubthumping" for Jack and "Changes" for the regeneration). I'm just sad that, try as I might, I couldn't make this under 7 minutes long, which for me is way too much for a vid. But I just didn't want to cut anything!!!! I'm pretty sure this will come back to haunt me, but so far I'm happy with my decision. I've been trying to find a way to honor Ten and his years after "The End of Time", and this felt like a nice way of doing it. Hopefully, I've made him justice. If any of you saw my preview, then you'll notice I kept Nine. ;) He had such favorable reactions (MUCH love for everyone who commented! Seriously, I can't thank you enough) and I just loved him so much in it that I couldn't just cut him. And, in fact, this turned out to be a very good decision once I managed to figure out an ending for his "B plot", which made a <b>...</b>

This was a birthday present I made for my friend's 40th in 2005. We have a long-running in-joke about the phrase "What are you doing here?" cropping up everywhere in TV shows. As we also both like Doctor Who, doing this seemed like a good idea. The original (which went to the end of Eccleston) took seven months to make - Six to watch all the episodes and one to edit it together. I've since updated it to the end of the 2008 series. Enjoy.
