Due to these times of unrest I wanted to share some scripture concerning what I believe to be a vitally important message concerning the role, the position and anointing of the "watchman". As we read in the opening passage from Ezekiel 33, the role of a watchman is very important. The watchman was posted in a place so he can see into the distance anything that is approaching. The obvious reason is to warn the people of an impending attack from an enemy. The watchman warns the people by blowing a trumpet so they could prepare themselves for an attack.

In Jackson, Tn the Union University campus suffered a great deal of damage. Macon County, Tn however was hardest hit. Dozens of Tornados and storms slam Sumner and Macon County around 10pm, first sparking a massive fire in Macon. A fire at the Columbia Gulf gas transmission facility was raging about a half-mile east of the Macon-Sumner County line, off Highway 141. (some of the orignal news reports listed it as Hartsville but its 5 miles from hartsville in Macon County.) Police have shut down Highway 25/Hartsville Pike from Highway 231 through Castalian Springs in Sumner County. The Castalian Springs Post Office was leveled. Homes in rural areas of Gallatin Tn were also severly damaged. These beautiful creatures can be found in equally beautiful habitats like Lorikeet Landing, Gibbon Islands, The Unseen New World and Bamboo Trail as well as the Hyacinth Macaw, Meerkat and Bongo exhibits. The Zoo also offers the Wild Animal Carousel, the Grassmere Historic Farm, Critter Encounters petting area and exciting animal shows and programs. Irish took the pictures for us that day.
