This is an original song written by Dan Powell, a member of the "Southern Chain Gang". He wrote it for the band when we first got established. The title of the song is also "Southern Chain Gang". Mr Dan Powell wrote the words, the music, and is the lead singer of this song. This song is already on youtube however no one could see us in that one. Fry, False cord, or Death... what type of scream am I?
www.myspace.com/fatalmethod New scream video comming soon!!! -Hey, my name is Dan Powell, I am the singer and guitarist for the band Fatal Method and I would like to know what type of scream I do for my bands music! I bought the Melissa Cross dvd's, and I really have no idea what type of scream I am executing, so to all you screamers out there... What am I doing here!?! I've been using screaming vocals for about two years, the lows & highs all come from the same place in the same way (I just change the shape of my throat, mouth, and tongue). I feel like I'm not doing fry because fry is more quiet and you make the door creak sound, I used to think I was doing false cord screams but now I'm not so sure, and as for the death technique... I don't really think I'm doing that either because I can hold the scream for a while, there are lots of overtones in my scream, and my vocal cords are not loose but instead really tight and controlled by the muscles in my throat. So what am I doing then?!?
