TopDog Fight League Don Brandell Vs Gary "The Coroner" Conradson
Top Dog Fight League's 2nd event was an interesting and very entertaining night of MMA action, including one of the most amazing head kick knockouts I have seen in an ammy fight in a long time...possibly ever! We're talking Cro Cop style, folks. You had to be there to see it. The referee and cage enforcer was me, FightMichigan's very own TJ Corwin. Capturing all the footage of the action was Michigan's most prolific cameraman, Shiloh Blu. Watch for footage coming your way soon! There was a nice variety of different styles and fight outcomes on display at this show. The Ellison Foundation was also in the house supplying the refreshments, with all the proceeds going to a great cause. For those who are unfamiliar with the Ellison Foundation, it is a non-profit organization that helps fund local gyms, independent and indigent fighters. A great cause indeed! Top Dog Fight League is growing with each event, and the next one is tentatively scheduled for May 27th, 2011. Soprano Sara Brandell, direct from her performance as Polly Peachum in the Three Penny Opera production at Queens College, with music direction by Hugo Weisgall, learned the art song I wrote for Hugo Weisgall as an assignment in his composition class. This is the original version in the original key (Eb) of "You Hurt Me" performed for a video camera on a stand.
