Hey everyone, once again I must apologize for being gone for so long, I feel really bad! I've been very busy these past months and this has just completely slipped my mind. Anyways, sorry again and I promise to do better. Now onto the countdown! I know I've raved previously about the music in the Donkey Kong Country games and you're probably sick of it all, but really something must be said about the incredible effectiveness of these themes in providing total immersion. Probably the best examples of this are the water level themes, which are excellent across the series. This one (from the third game) couples eerie silence with rising panic so well, you can almost see the light fading as you slowly descend beneath the water's surface.

Enjoy these Amazing Photographs in Tranquil Nature from one of the earths most incredible places, the Antarctic with Atmospheric Sounds, Ambient Music and the thoughts they evoked. These Beautiful Pictures are from a time I traveled on the National Geographic Ship, the endeavor, as we explored some amazing places on this incredible continent. Antarctica is a fluid landscape in a perpetual state of flux, a monochrome region that offers no sense of scale. Instinctually I knew it was vast, although it was only when I stood high above the sea, with our ship, the National Geographic Endeavor, lying silent far below that I had any measure of its proportion. In this environment I was an alien, an artist astutely aware of my presence, frequently finding myself in a meditative contemplation, observing my passage through it. On occasion I found myself surrounded by a crumbling reminder that transient pioneers once lived, worked, sang, danced, played and died here. Their echoed whisperings hanging in the air, their histories and memories transmuted to the few decaying artifacts scattered throughout the rock and ice. Standing on a rocky shore in the half-light between night and day, I gazed upon time exposed in a wall of ice, its sheer face rising a thousand feet above a featureless dark mirror still water. Creaking and groaning until, with a thunderous roar it crumbled crashing into the sea below. Chunks the size of buildings floated by, flaunting pre-history in compacted layers of <b>...</b>
