What an Astronaut's Camera Sees
An intimate tour... in 1080p... of Earth's most impressive landscapes... as captured by astronauts with their digital cameras. Dr. Justin Wilkinson from NASA's astronaut team describes the special places that spacemen focus on whenever they get a moment. We start with the coast of Namibia in southwestern Africa, the very dry desert coast of the Namib Desert. You can see a cloud band butting up against the shore and some straight sand dunes in the lower left of the picture. Yeah those are big red sand dunes that the astronauts say is one of the most beautiful sites that you can get when you're flying. Coming into the view on the left is an impact crater right in the middle of the picture, right about now and some wind streaks. We know where this area is because it's a bit unique. We've got a major dune field coming into the picture on the left there: the Oriental Sand Sea, as it's called in French, and on the top is the Isawan Sand Sea. This is the island of Sicily with cloud over Mt. Etna, so you can't quite tell there's a big volcano in the middle of the picture right now. And there's the toe of the boot of Italy coming into the picture from the left. See a good example of sun glint on the right with the sea reflecting the sun. This is the smooth east coast of the Kamchatka peninsula again. As you move inland it gets even more striking as a picture because of all the volcanoes on this peninsula and the snowy mountains. When Dr. Don Pettit lived aboard the International Space Station in 2002, he became known for his "Saturday Morning Science" sessions, during which he would demonstrate really cool, simple microgravity experiments. Earlier this month, Pettit returned to space, this time as member of space shuttle Endeavour's crew on a mission to upgrade the outpost. After 10 days of hard work, the STS-126 crew got some time off Sunday morning and Pettit took the opportunity to film a special episode of Saturday, err, Sunday Morning Science. Busdriver - Unemployed Black Astronaut
Rapper Busdriver (Regan J. Farquhar) is the son of the screenwriter for the film Krush Groove so from a young age Busdriver was exposed to hip-hop. By the age of 13 he had his first recorded hip-hop album with the group 4/29. He was a regular at the Project Blowed open mic and has guest stared on many underground artists' records. His first solo album Memoirs of the Elephant Man was released in 2001 kicking off a career that quickly increased his popular, peaking when his song Imaginary Places was featured on the video game Tony Hawk's Underground in 2003. His latest album, RoadKillOvercoat, was released in early 2007. Busdriver has work with many prominent MCs such as Aceyalone, Myka 9, Abstract Rude, 2Mex, Rifleman Ellay Khule, and the band Toca.

The End of the Beginning - God is an Astronaut
God Is An Astronaut was formed by brothers Niels and Torsten in 2002. Hailing from Glen of the Downs, Ireland the band released their debut album "The End of the Beginning" on their own label Revive Records in march 2003. Their video for "The End of the Beginning" received plays on MTV UK's 120 minute show and their second video for "From Dust to the Beyond" which has a heavy Anti war-theme received plays on MTV UK and most European MTV networks. "All is Violent, All is Bright" is God Is An Astronaut's second album. The video for their single "Fragile" taken from the album got plays on MTV2's 120 Minute show and MTV's "The Comedown". This album trademarks their intense build ups from serene ambience to searing intensity. Torsten and Niels who are joined by new drummer Lloyd Hanney who was trained by the late jazz drumming legend Johnny Wadham, makes this album a closer representation of their live sound. They are considered by many to be the most intense live act to emerge from Ireland in recent times due to their controversial live audio/visual shows.
