The final battle of Dragon Age! If you don't think this fight through very much, I guarantee it will be one of the hardest bosses you'll ever face in an RPG. I had Shale tank with Fire armor to withstand the dragon's ranged attacks as best as possible and the Nature crystal for health regeneration so he could properly tank even against the massive hits the dragon tends to land with his claws. It's generally best to keep everyone else as far away from the dragon as possible so you can attack at range without risk of getting hurt, but at least close enough to support Shale. For the second phase, I hope you still have some forces left to summon to handle most of the darkspawn; they're not too bad if you focus though. Bring a rogue like Leliana so the ballistas can be fired even more once they jam (you can only fix each one up to 3 times). After that, have Shale and whoever else attack at ranged until he comes back.

This is the Archdemon, a supremely badass monster you encounter in this here narsty hellcave Also, there is a graphical boss bar visible for players when they fight it. When this video was recorded, that feature hadn't been added (or thought of) yet. Archdemons are also a lot more aggressive since this video, and when low on health, they start generating small explosions around themselves and shooting out demon bolts and stuff so you have a better sense of how beat up they are.

Another video from Dragon Age Origins. This time showcasing the fight of the final boss, the Archdemon at level 20 or so. DO NOTE THAT: Creatures in this game do not have a set level. They adjust accordingly to your players level. High dragons are usually 3 or 4 levels higher than you. So the Archdemon should be around 24 or 25. Like always, I include text-based commentary in the video to kind of help you if you're having trouble and came here for help. I also explain why I did certain things incase you ever got confused. Like the title says, I did this fight on Nightmare difficulty, I prove it in the beginning where I show the menu lolz. You can go through the video yourself, I didn't use ANY potions during the fight. No deaths, no potions, no armies, no ballistas, nothing. Just my party and what the game spawned naturally. My party setup is just like my other videos: Me (Ranger), Lelliana (Ranger), Alistair (Tank), Wynne (Healer). Gear is as follows, Wade's superior leather armor on me, with a named dragonbone longbow - Wade's leather armor on Lelliana, with a special longbow only she can use - Wade's superior dragonscale plate armor on Alistair with Blanka's shield and a named sword with +5 fire, lightning, and ice damage on it. (+15 total) - Wynne has basic cloth armor with a total of +4 willpower on it all together. Nothing special, really. So how did i decide? I chose the Morrigan ritual because at my first play through Alistar died, and it felt kinda unsatisfied. I guess some people noticed that Wynne and Zevran are missing in my ending. That's because Wynne tried to defend the Tower of Magi and was slain by me... in "self defence". ^^ i do NOT recommend to kill her, she is pretty useful. And Zevran? I told him to shoo, because he was kinda gay and replaceable. Thanks Bioware for a great game!

This was my first attempt, which was succesful. I wasnt expecting a range phase. My rogue is speced for dual wielding and uses 2 daggers, I didnt use any poison, I find that skill is expensive and seems like a waste of time. I used Alistar as the tank, and Wynne was the main healer, Morrigan was the supportive healer with slight damage. Enjoy.

So I have reached the Archdemon at last and defeated her solo on nightmare difficulty and this is a video of me doing so with my Blood Mage / Arcane Warrior. It was pretty easy really with so much spirit resistance as long as I didn't get to close it couldn't hurt me much. (75% spirit resistance from corruption + the extra from juggernaut pieces) But a fun fight nonetheless, this was my second attempt on the first I failed when the darkspawn came in. This probably wont be my last dragon age video as I'm writing this now I still have a few to upload which I'll probably procrastinate in doing such as my video of Ser Cauthrien solo on nightmare but it is the end of my dragon age playthrough. Dragon age: Origins, I´m playing as Duran Aeducan, the kings son /Brother to Bhelen and Trian who becomes an exiled thanks to Bhelen who killed Trian and putted the blame on Duran. When Morrigan came into the room and wanted to make this "Demon child" I denied it so she left the party and i will die in the ending. Alistair wanted to die but i told him that he will become a King and i thought that I´m an Exiled so what does it matter if i die. When I´m dead, my Honor will be back as an Aeducan and i will become a new Paragon and burried next to the Father. And Alistair will rule the country as a king and then everybody will have a happy life yeay.
