The 11 track collection was recorded at Sear Sound in New York City. The tracks on 'Round Midnight come from a wide variety of sources, including Bill Evans, Paul Simon, Duke Ellington, Johnny Mandel, Thelonious Monk, Stephen Sondheim, even Charlie Chaplin. But regardless of who wrote the songs and when, Allyson ties them all together with the same melancholy thread with which they were originally spun. The three-time GRAMMY nominated vocalist describes her new album best in her liner notes: "Imagine yourself, in the city, walking late at night," she writes. "It's 'Round Midnight. The wind is cold, but you hear some warm sounds and you follow your ear down into a small, dark club. There's a woman at the piano singing these intimate ballads -- one after the other. Maybe you've just recently suffered a heartache, or maybe the lyrics, melodies and harmonies evoke feelings you have somewhere deep down inside."

You can easily find this to be true by doing a google search for "Till the Clouds Roll public domain" This movie is listed on several reputable websites as being public. *** June Allyson and the MGM chorus sing "Leave it To Jane" ... then "Cleopatterer". How could MGM let this movie fall into the public domain is beyond me.

Allyson Courtney-Marie Jones is a classically trained vocalist and performer who is a recent graduate from the University of Detroit Mercy. Allyson has participated in etiquette and charm classes since the tender age of ten. Allyson has performed with Renee King-Jackson and the Don Mayberry band at the historical premiere jazz club of the Midwest Bakers Keyboard Lounge in Detroit, Michigan. Allyson was the recipient of the 2003 Making It to the Finish Line Youth Accomplishment Award. Allyson was the winner of the Hal Jacksons Talented Teens Performer of the Year Competition in 2003, which sponsored her trip to attend the 2003 Kemet Productions Road to Stardom Talent Conference in Hollywood, California in conjunction with the NAACP Image Awards. As Miss Michigan Talented Teen 2003, Allyson was honored to perform and speak at community events, churches, political events, and schools all over the state of Michigan. Allyson was the third runner up at the 2003 Hal Jacksons Talented Teens International Competition in St. Thomas, US Virgin Islands. Allyson won the University of Detroit Mercy Titan Idol competition in 2004 and opened for a sold out Ruben Studdard concert. Allyson loves people and her ultimate goal is to inspire people through her many gifts and talents!

Shaw Brothers star Allyson Chang Yen's wild dance
Allyson Chang Yen (張燕) in the 1967 film "They All Fall in Love" (情花朵朵開), along with Nam Hung (南紅) and Lui Kei (呂奇). Chang Yen joined Shaw Brothers in 1961 and first made films in their Cantonese division. With her pretty and outgoing appearance, Chang was typecast as the spoiled little sister in such films as "Teenage Beat" (1961) and "The Four Sisters" (1963). She was dubbed 'Little Wildcat' and 'Little Mermaid' for her excellent swimming and water-skiing skills. After Shaws' Cantonese division shut down in 1963, Chang Yen was sent to Japan (along with fellow Shaw actresses Chin Ping and Margaret Hsing Hui) to study drama and dancing at the Toho Academy of Performing Arts. Afterwards, she mostly played supporting roles to Li Ching and Chin Ping, who were becoming big stars at the studio. She seems to have retired in 1968 after her last film for Shaw Brothers, "Hong Kong Rhapsody". But before that, she had a chance to strut her stuff in this scene from the Cantonese film "They All Fall in Love" (1967).
