Based on the information in these videos, IF true, then on 3 acres they are producing 1000000 pounds of food each year! How are they doing this? Well, based on the information given in the video... 10000 fish 300-500 yards worm compost 3 acres of land in green houses Grow all year using heat from compost piles. Using vertical space Simple 1 pump aquaponics A packed greenhouse produces a crop value of $5 Square Foot! ($200000/acre). That is if the whole acre was under greenhouse. Now, just to be clear I am not growing power or will allen. Also, a pound of plant or fish product is not the same thing as eatable food unless you process all parts of them for food. ie eating the fish bones and using plant stalks in stews. Generally, nations that are well fed throw away most of the plant and eat only the best parts thus lowing the yield of food. Growing power depends on and runs on the HUGE amounts of compost they make from food waste that is taken from the city. With out this compost there would be no heat for the greenhouses and no fuel for the plants to grow. Its a great thing to divert this from the landfill and provide cheap food for the community. Green Acres is an American television series starring Eddie Albert and Eva Gabor as a couple who move from New York City to a country farm. Produced by Filmways, Inc., as a sister show to Petticoat Junction, the series was broadcast on CBS from September 15, 1965, to April 27, 1971. With the success of The Beverly Hillbillies and Petticoat Junction, CBS offered producer Paul Henning another half-hour on the schedule — unusually with no pilot required. Over several years, he transformed a rundown house and hillsides of berry brambles into pasture and gardens where he produces and preserves most of his family's food. Visit the Goose Grotto in a constructed pond, a heritage fruit tree orchard, logs producing shiitake mushrooms, and a cheap-and-easy container kitchen garden. Mark gives us a closeup view of the solar dehydrator he constructed from salvaged materials - and his tips on food drying. He has husbanded up to fifty animals at a time, including two Tibetan yaks! This farmstead in Rough and Ready, CA lives up to the town's name ? and is a testament to hard work, wide-ranging construction skills, and love.

Abandoned Rolling Acres Mall, Rolling Acres/Akron, Ohio Footage 2009
The gigantic Rolling Acres Mall has been shut down for about 4 years now. My dad does some demo/reconstruction work and he was offered anything he wanted inside the mall by the Demo company. I had the opportunity to ride my bike through the inside with my Camcorder. I didn't get any footage of the lower level. I was down there, but I couldn't take the bike. This once gorgeous late '70s mall has seen better days. Leaky roof has been the main source of problems. Also, thieves have stolen all the copper wiring so there is no possible way for the mall to be lit unless it was completely re-wired. Kinda creepy, with an eerie breeze throughout the whole place. Another freaky thing is that all the plants on the lower level are totally green. They are not fake. Totally healthy but overgrown. I think the roof is so leaky, the plants survive. Sears and JCpenny dpt. stores are still operating. I have no idea what's going to happen to the mall.

Frank Cady -- born September 8, 1915 is an American actor best known for his recurring and popular role as storekeeper Sam Drucker in three US television series during the 1960s: Petticoat Junction, Green Acres and The Beverly Hillbillies. Born in Susanville, California, Cady attended Stanford University, where he was involved with the campus humor magazine, the Stanford Chaparral. He served in the United States Army Air Forces during World War II. Cady began acting in 1947. In 1950 he had an uncredited speaking role in the classic film noir drama DOA (as Sam the bartender in Banning, California) and another uncredited role in George Pál's 1951 film When Worlds Collide (as the assistant who pushes the wheelchair belonging to John Hoyt's character). Cady had a prominent role in Billy Wilder's film Ace in the Hole (also known as The Big Carnival). He had a small non-speaking role, seen mostly in long shot, in one of Alfred Hitchcock's most prestigious films, Rear Window. He can also be seen in the 1950 film Father of the Bride requesting a martini from Spencer Tracy during the engagement party. My lil Cuzzie's imagination + my horse collection = this. :) She saw some videos on youtube of other people's barn tours and asked me to help her make one, so here it is!
