The group members: :::::: Wong Ka-Kui :::::: (June 10, 1962 - June 30, 1993) was a Hong Kong born (with family roots in Taishan, Guangdong) composer, songwriter, musician and singer. He was the lead vocalist, rhythm guitarist, and the founder of the Hong Kong rock band Beyond. He composed more than 90 percent of the songs for Beyond and wrote a few award-winning lyrics. Ka-Kui is remembered for his musical talents as well as his unique and powerful voice that is able to convey a number of emotions. His songs are often addressing humanity and social issues such as injustice, war and peace, racism, poverty, family and pursuit of dream. Wong Ka-Kui had a great influence on at least a generation of Chinese because of his outlook on life and the spirit of never giving up. He devoted his entire life to achieve change in the Hong Kong music industry and also tried to make a difference in the world. While filming a gameshow for Fuji Television in Japan on June 24, 1993, Wong Ka-Kui fell off a 3 meter platform head first, and was hospitalized immediately. This week a memorial tribute was held at Hong Kong's art colony, Cattle Depot, for Wong Ka Kui. He is a widely loved and remembered musical icon in Hong Kong's collective memory. A dedication to both my time playing WoW (my old guilds Ret (Arthas, Mal'Ganis) and Believe (Arthas)) as well as to Wong Ka Kui from Beyond... one of the greatest Chinese musicians who ever lived. RIP (for both). It's in Cantonese, hence it reads like Mandarin but isn't quite the same. I have added the English translation of the lyrics, as close as I could do (there's sometimes no literal translation, so I try to be as accurate as I can) for my friends who cannot read Chinese. :)

黃家駒（Wong Ka Kui，1962年6月10日－1993年6月30日），籍貫廣東台山，是1980年代前期至1990年代中期香港著名搖滾樂隊Beyond的主音及結他手，也是樂隊低音結他手黃家強的二哥。 中五畢業後,家駒曾任職辦公室助理、五金、冷氣、水電工程、電視台佈景員等，甚至加入樂隊鼓手葉世榮任職的公司作保險經紀。 黃家駒初中時代因朋友的潛移默化愛上歐西流行音樂，17歲時更因鄰居搬家留下一支結他，而令他與這種樂器結下不解之緣。1980年，黃家駒經琴行老闆介紹下認識葉世榮，發覺彼此音樂興趣相近，聯同兩位朋友鄧煒謙（又名鄔林，英文名William）及李榮潮一起組成樂隊作音樂交流，此為Beyond的雛型。1983年Beyond正式組成，經過幾次人事變動，期間低音結他手黃家強及主音結他手黃貫中先後加入，舉辦《永遠等待演唱會》及推出盒帶《再見理想》後，終獲經理人垂青加入樂壇。 在Beyond組成首十年發表之作品中，大部分均為黃家駒作曲及演唱。除了經樂隊發表作品，黃家駒偶然也為其他歌手作曲，曾經合作歌手包括許冠傑、譚詠麟、麥潔文、王靖雯（王菲）、蔡興麟等。 黃家駒是樂隊中靈魂人物，性格敢言，不時發表大膽的言論，因此有時令娛樂圈中人不滿。然而其果斷、健談的個性，也令他成為樂隊的發言人及領導人物，帶領Beyond事業闖進多個高峰。經過多年努力，Beyond成為香港最舉足輕重樂隊之一。由於對香港樂壇失望，加上希望樂隊能衝出香港，故九十年代初期，Beyond決定發展東南亞、台灣、中國、日本等市場。 1993年6月24日凌晨，樂隊於日本富士電視台錄影遊戲節目《ウッチャンナンチャンのやるならやらねば- 想做什麼就做什麼》（jp:ウッチャンナンチャンのやるならやらねば）時發生意外，黃家駒不幸從2.7米高舞台墮下，頭部着地重傷昏迷，留醫六天後於當地時間下午4時15分逝世（當時陳百強仍然昏迷），終年31歲。而 <b>...</b>
