This is a piece created to question whether it was possible to film animation in realtime. Part of my CSM 3rd year disseration project I was looking at proto animation (really early basic animation) in contemporary design. I've taken a lot of influence from other contemporary designers who are using these techniques to explore the way we look at animation and how its made. As stated on my channel I have interviewed animators such as Jim le Fevre and in my research referenced other people using this technique such as David Wilson and Tim Wheatley who did this before me. I developed this project based on what is being done in animation right now as well as a lot of primary research into the history of animation techniques. Slayer - War Ensemble UPDATE 30/11/11: I just read that Dave Lombardo has said via Twitter that Slayer is writing new material for their next album. This suggests that Hanneman's condition has improved, he is able to play and will enter a studio again! YAY!!! :D Update 17/9/11: I'm sure everyone knows this and this is old news, but thought I'd still put it anyway. Tom Araya has confirmed Slayer will make a new album, but not until Hanneman's recovery. I guess that proves conclusively he's still in the band, they are committed to him and hopful for his recovery. Get Well Soon Jeff! We all miss you :) UPDATE 30/4/11 - Hanneman's appearance on stage has put the rumours regarding his position to bed. Although NASA's Mars Science Laboratory will not leave Earth until late this year nor land on Mars until August 2012, anyone can watch those dramatic events now in a new animation of the mission. The full, 11-minute animation, at www.youtube.com , shows sequences such as the spacecraft separating from its launch vehicle near Earth and the mission's rover, Curiosity, zapping rocks with a laser and examining samples of powdered rock on Mars. A shorter, narrated version is also available, at youtube.com . Curiosity's landing will use a different method than any previous Mars landing, with the rover suspended on tethers from a rocket-backpack "sky crane." The new animation combines detailed views of the spacecraft with scenes of real places on Mars, based on stereo images taken by earlier missions. "It is a treat for the 2000 or more people who have worked on the Mars Science Laboratory during the past eight years to watch these action scenes of the hardware the project has developed and assembled," said Mars Science Laboratory Project Manager Pete Theisinger at NASA's Jet Propulsion Laboratory, Pasadena, Calif.
