In ancient Greek mythology, Acheron was known as the river of pain, and was one of the five rivers of the Greek underworld. In the Homeric poems the Acheron was described as a river of Hades, into which Cocytus and Phlegethon both flowed. The Roman poet Virgil called it the principal river of Tartarus, from which the Styx and Cocytus both sprang. The newly-dead would be ferried across the Acheron by Charon in order to enter the Underworld. The Suda describes the river as "a place of healing, not a place of punishment, cleansing and purging the sins of humans. According to later traditions, Acheron had been a son of Helios and either Gaia or Demeter, who had been turned into the Underworld river bearing his name after he refreshed the Titans with drink during their contest with Zeus. By this myth, Acheron is also the father of Ascalaphus by either Orphne[6] or Gorgyra. The river called Acheron with the nearby ruins of the Necromanteion is found near Parga on the mainland opposite Corfu. Another branch of Acheron was believed to surface at the Acherusian cape (now Eregli in Turkey) and was seen by the Argonauts according to Apollonius of Rhodes. Greeks who settled in Italy identified the Acherusian lake into which Acheron flowed with Lake Avernus. Plato in his Phaedo identified Acheron as the second greatest river in the world, excelled only by Oceanus. He claimed that Acheron flowed in the opposite direction from Oceanus beneath the earth under desert places. The word is <b>...</b>

Vangelis - Live in Rotterdam 1991, The Netherlands
Full registration of one of the rare live concerts given by Vangelis. Held in the city of Rotterdam, The Netherlands, in 1991. The 'live' character of this concert is questionable as the performed tracks seemingly resemble the studio versions and, of course, Vangelis only has two hands to play. At least John (from John & Vangelis) seems to playback during his performance. I've remastered the poor VHS video for better contrast, with color correction and sharpness improvement. Audio has been remastered for better clearity and stereo imaging. Enjoy! - Nimanty -

Jon And Vangelis - I'll Find My Way Home (1981)
Jon & Vangelis is the collaborative effort between the singer Jon Anderson (better known as lead vocalist of the British progressive rock band Yes), and the Greek synthesizer musician Vangelis. Together they released a number of successful albums in the 1980s. The two artists probably met in the progressive rock scene of London in the 1970s. Vangelis reputedly was to join Anderson in Yes, replacing Rick Wakeman as keyboardist, but this never came to fruition. Nevertheless, Jon contributed vocals to Vangelis' Heaven and Hell (1975), harp to Opera Sauvage (1979), and vocals to See You Later (1980). The two embarked on a series of albums between 1979 and 1991, producing the major hits "I Hear You Now" (a UK No. 8) and "I'll Find My Way Home". Anderson wrote the lyrics, and Vangelis composed the music. This was during one of Vangelis' most productive periods, and a high level of experimentation is evident on some of their tracks.
