Walker Brothers - The sun ain't gonna shine anymore 1966 - from Japan TV Lyrics: Loneliness is the cloak you wear A deep shade of blue is always there The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The moon ain't gonna rise in the sky The tears are always clouding your eyes When you're without love, baby Emptiness is the place you're in Nothin' to lose but no more to win The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The moon ain't gonna rise in the sky The tears are always clouding your eyes When you're without love Lonely, without you, baby Girl, I need you I can't go on The sun ain't gonna shine anymore (The sun ain't gonna shine anymore) The moon ain't gonna rise in the sky (The moon ain't gonna rise in the sky) The tears are always clouding your eyes (The tears are always clouding your eyes) (Sun ain't gonna shine anymore) When you're without love, baby The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The sun ain't gonna shine anymore The sun ain't gonna shine anymore

The Walker Brothers - Make It Easy On Yourself

The band's first UK number 1 single in 1965 (number 16 in the US). It was also the opening track on their debut album, "Take It Easy With The Walker Brothers". A Burt Bacharach/Hal David all-time classic.

Underappreciated American band that had a better following in the UK than here. Maybe the comparisons to the Righteous Brothers had a part in it.

The Walker Brothers "Stay With Me Baby"

The Walker Brothers were a 1960s and 1970s pop group, originally a rock band, founded by three Californians, who became most successful in the UK. They were not related, and adopted the "Walker Brothers" name as a show business touch.

The Walker Brothers - The Electrician

"The Electrician" is a track from the 1978 album "Night Flights" by The Walker Brothers. This album is one of the most underrated records of all time. On this last album the trio recorded as a group, although the structure of the album effectively split into 3 sections in which each member writes and sings, has led to both critics and band members describing it as more akin to 3 miniature solo albums than a true group album. "The Electrician" is described by Brain Eno as "Pop Music at his outer border", never reached again..... Lyrics: Baby it's slow - When the lights go low - There's no help no He's drilling thru the Spiritus Sanctus tonight Through the dark hip falls screaming, Oh you mambos Kill me and kill me and kill me If I jerk the handle you'll die in your dreams If I jerk the handle jerk the handle, jerk the handle You'll thrill me and thrill me and thrill me Baby it's slow when the lights go low there's no help no Original release: Nite Flights 1978 vinyl LP (GTO records GTLP 0033) Released as a single backed with "Den Haague", but did not chart. Walker Brothers - Love minus zero 1966

Walker Brothers - Love minus Zero 1966 This beautiful Rumba was written by Bob Dylan and performed by The Walker Brothers in 1966 (recorded from Japan TV) Lyrics: My love she speaks like silence, With no ideals or violence, She doesn't have to say she's faithful, Yet she's true, like ice, like fire. People carry roses, Make promises by the hours, My love she laughs like the flowers, Valentines can't buy her. In the dime stores and bus stations, People talk of situations, Read books, repeat quotations, Draw conclusions on the wall. Some speak of the future, My love she speaks softly, She knows there's no success like failure And that failure's no success at all. My love she speaks like silence, With no ideals or violence, She doesn't have to say she's faithful, Yet she's true, like ice, like fire. People carry roses, Make promises by the hours, My love she laughs like the flowers, Valentines can't buy her. Valentines can't buy her. Valentines can't buy her. Valentines can't buy her.

The Walker Brothers - The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore

The Walker Brothers (Scott Engel, John Maus, and Gary Leeds) were an American trio that hit big in the UK from 1965-1967. At one time, their fan club was bigger than the Beatles. "The Sun Ain't Gonna Shine Anymore" was their second #1 hit in 1966. The enigmatic lead singer, Scott Walker, later had a very successful solo career and has been cited as influential to many British recording artists including David Bowie and Radiohead. I created this video using photos found on the internet, 45 singles I own, and photos from magazines. Enjoy!!

Tribute to John Walker (Walker Brothers) The Seventh Dawn

Here is my tribute to John Walker of the Walker Brothers. The church photos are from Mr. Walker's Memorial Service on June 4, 2011 in Southern California that I attended. White doves were released as a final good-bye while the bells played for a few minutes. I was able to capture 40 seconds of the sounds of the bells. The photos are the screen shots of the damaged video. If you look really hard in the first two photos, you will see white specks near the powerlines that are the released doves. The rest of the photos are of John and the Walker Brothers with The Seventh Dawn as the music. I always loved this song and the harmonized voices of John and Scott. RIP Mr. Walker. You will never be forgotten.

There weren't a British pop trio, their weren't brothers and their real names weren't even Walker but for a short time the "brothers" Noel Scott Engel (aka Scott Walker), Gary Leeds (aka Gary Walker) and John Maus (aka John Walker) had enormous success that almost put them on the same level as The Beatles or The Rolling Stones in the UK. With their dramatic, orchestral and overblown pop songs they quickly captured the hearts of thousands of British teenage girls. But by the end of 60s the music of the band began to sound dated. The first British Invasion was over and The Walker Brothers officially disband only to return and reunite in 1976 for one last single ...
