
Sūrat Al-Nās (Arabic: سورة الناس), or Mankind, is the 114th and last sura, or chapter, of the Qur'an, the Muslim holy book. It is a short six-verse invocation, asking Allah for protection from the Satan. It is a Makkan sura. Together with sura Al-Falaq it is also known as Al-Mu'awwidhatayn; dealing with roughly the same theme, they form a natural pair. There is a Sunnah tradition of reading this Sura over the sick or before sleeping. Virtues of Surah An-Nas Aisha explains: that the Prophet (saw) on each night when going to bed, he read the Surah Al-Ikhlas, Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas, blown on the palms and then spread over the entire body and head. Sayyidiah 'Ali ra explain: never Messenger (saw) bitten upon a time, then he took the salt water. Recited Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas laludisapukan on the limb that was bitten at the time. 'Uqbah ibn' Amir explained, when I lost the road preformance on a journey together with the Messenger of Allah, he read the Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas and I was also told to read it. Whoever hit by the disease, because of the devil or man, should read Surah Al-Falaq and Surah An-Nas as much as 41 times over 3 days, 5 days or 7 days berturuh succession.
