Darksiders Apocalyptic Difficulty Ashlands: The Stygian

Night Of The Stormrider (1992) Iced Earth's second effort is a concept album with a mystical, horrific story line. It traces the path of a man who is betrayed by religion and turns away from it in anger. The dark forces of nature reach out to this enraged man and use him as their vessel to bring death and destruction to Earth. Through it all, he feels no remorse for his deeds, and upon reaching the end, numbly accepts his fate of eternity in Hell. Musically, the band picked up a new singer and drummer for this album. The singing is a definite improvement from the debut, ranging from a powerful growl to a Halford-like scream. Such skill is necessary to portray the wide range of feeling on this album. There's quite a bit of background keys on this disc, some choral moaning, and a memorable piano outro, which all add to the dark mood. There are also several excellent acoustic passages seamlessly interwoven with the driving guitar riffs. The music meshes perfectly with the story, magnifying the hatred, manic joy, confusion, and sadness present in the lyrics. After listening to this musical masterpiece, one cannot help but to feel some of the sadness and guilt that the Stormrider was unable to feel for himself. My first trip to the Stygian Dragon Peerless spawn. I heard about it from fellow guild members who attempted the spawn the previous night. They had a lot of trouble and it took well over 1 hour to defeat the dragon. With what they learned, we were able to better equip ourselves and cut that time down to about 16 minutes. The Stygian Dragon has ferocious attacks, including the new Mysticism spell Hail Storm. An unlucky attack combination often leads to near instant-death. www.uoguide.com

Some guildmates decided to do an impromptu downing of the new Slasher of Veils, who lurks in the ruined Gargoyle homeland. He is a very powerful champion level monster which can easily kill in one shot. Luring him into this room with the virtue symbol on the floor weakens his power considerably. Even still, he is a very dangerous foe and took quite a bit of time to defeat. This is almost the first killing on Atlantic shard, possibly of any shard.

In this part we take on tye 3rd boss Stygian: Ways to defeat Stygian: Ride next to Stygian, every now and then he will just ride along the surface giving you the opportunity to use your sword and knock the metal guard over his face off. Once you get it off he will start coming after you like the first worm you faced, so just shoot that little yellow thing on his mouth. After awhile he will start following you underground. He will pop up straight out of the ground trying to ht you, just turn tight and use boost. The other thing he will do is send smaller worms after you, about 3 or 4 at a time. They are quite fast so turn sharp and just keep shooting them. After a few rounds of doing this you will get the chance to run up to him and hit B for the kill.
