Today I'm going to share some tips and tricks on how to spin a bo staff. Look at that, looks hard, doesn't it? Wrong, it's actually very simple, lets slow it down shall we? Alright, as you can see, the person spinning the bo staff keeps his hands in the same place, while using his arms to spin the bo staff. So basically, all you have to know is how to place your hands. Well here's the trick. You hold out your right hand, put the bo staff on top of it and then place your left hand on top of the bo staff. You don't move your hands at all while spinning. Just like that. Grab a hold of the bo staff and then all you have to do to spin it, is move your arms in a row-like motion across your body. Just like that. So here's my 4th tutorial, only explaining two spins. they are both essential for the EAGLES. the palm spin is one of the spins I diddnt figure out or create by myself. Its a difficult move at first, but dont rush it. Making up for my lateness, I uploaded two new tutorials. Hope the quantity did not affect the quality. This time I will be explaining how to transfer to horizontals, the halo spin, the eight winged (double) dragon and the continuous backspin. Understand what Im trying to say(this is tutorial number 7, so I take it youre already quite good): There are many ways to make transfers. You could do a 360 primairy backspin in the second option, and you'll be facing the correct way again. A lot of spins have special side-effects. The figure eight is used for changing sides and horizontals can be used to change the direction the staff is spinning. All of this is usseful because many spins go in a diffirent direction. I wanted to explain combo-making for so long, but it issnt easy at all. I learned combo making myself by just trying things out and I dont recall ever having problems with it. The only ting I can teach you guys is how to transfer between diffirent spins, but there are so many spins that that is a not easy either. I put everything into four categories to make it easier to understand how spinning works(and eventually understand how to make combo's), but there are a lot of spins that dont really fit in in any category. spins like basic spin, two handed airspin, ichiyubi and the foundation of spinning are all one-ways, and putting them together is really easy. they dont need any transition moves. going from the figure-eight to the 360 figure eight to the armpit-spin is really easy too, and like this linking the palmspin to the body roll to the primairy backspin feels natural as well. And then comes the tricky part. most of the "others-category" are at the beginning or the end of a spin(like kuro-hane-akai-hana) so they cant be linked to each other, and linking them to other spins are very difficult too. then there are spins that are (looking at how they feel) in the wrong category. the backspin is a good example. The backspin is not really ONE move. you could divide it into the front-pass, the right-figure eight, the back-pass and then the left-backwards-figure-eight. the two passes are one-ways, but the figure eights are two ways, making the entire thing hard to put into a <b>...</b>

This is a little exercise for those who have trouble with the wrist roll. Its simply a exercise that lumps all possible wrist rolls together in one movement(or two, since they are not in the same flow). It also teaches you to stop the staff while in a flow and to use both hands in the transfer to add more momentum to the staff. A hand transfer does not have to be static. If you feel the staff is getting slower, just use it to make it go faster. If it is performed without the break(stopping the flow with your hand), it is also a conditioning exercise for your wrists. Strong wrists are important in Staff Spinning.

There's also penalising of low income taxpayers but almost no scrutiny of huge refunds going out the door -- my job was to check refunds of over $100000 and I was told on Friday to do this at the rate of 9 per hour, if that was the work given to me. In this case it was me the payroll system failed to pay -- twice -- and they had no idea why and asked me to get a bank statement to prove I wasn't paid as they thought I had been. Complaints got me nowhere, requests for information got me nowhere and finally four official information requests (our FOIA equivalent) resulted in either no information, or on the last day an extension could be requested in a well-defined form, simply a statement that I'd be charged NZ$38 per half hour, without specifying what would be provided, when, or even whether they'd <b>...</b>

Raw (unedited) footage. The auto focus on my dad's (he was the one recording) camera is TERRIBLE. I know the digital camera doesn't specialize in video, but really? Anyways I could have gotten the $10 DVD of me spinning with Zach from the ride camera, but frankly there was no point. You can't really see anything other than us and you're not experiencing what we were. Also I wasn't daring to take a camera with me to record my point of view. It's a good thing I didn't! Because unless the camera was strapped to my body, it would have been long gone. In the end, NO VIDEO can give justice to riding with Zach so it shouldn't even matter, you weren't there! I rode the ride beforehand with my dad the night before. We tried to spin it, but of course we were doing something wrong (even if we spun the thing correctly, it still wouldn't have been that exciting in comparison to riding with Zach). Zach said that I would have a blast if I rode with him. Obviously I couldn't pass that up so the next day we went back. Bought two tickets (I thought I needed to buy him a ticket just to be fair) and rode once with him. WOW. Since I didn't need to buy a ticket for him, and the fact that my dad still was waiting for a good thrill (he's hardly ever thrilled), I gave him the other ticket.
