A tribute to the welsh midfielder. EDIT: Just so everyone knows I obviously had no idea what was going to happen. If you check my channel you will see I like making videos dedicated to my favourite Leeds players. It just so happened I made this one a week before Gary's death. May he rest in peace and lets remember him for the contributions he made to the teams he played for. RIP Gary.

These speed tests were filmed at actual web page rendering times. If you're interested in the technical details, read on! Equipment used: - Computer: MacBook Pro laptop with Windows installed - Monitor - 24" Asus: We had to replace the standard fluorescent backlight with very large tungsten fixtures to funnel in more light to capture the screen. In addition, we flipped the monitor 180 degrees to eliminate a shadow from the driver board and set the system preferences on the computer to rotate 180 degrees. No special software was used in this process. - Camera: Phantom v640 High Speed Camera at 1920 x 1080, films up to 2700 fps "Why does allrecipes.com in the potato gun sequence appear at once, and not the text first and images second? And why does it appear to render from bottom of the screen to the top?" Chrome sends the rendered page to the video card buffer all at once, which is why allrecipes.com appears at once, and not with the text first and images second. Chrome actually paints the page from top to bottom, but to eliminate a shadow from the driver board, we had to flip the monitor upside down and set the system preferences in Windows to rotate everything 180 degrees, resulting in the page appearing to render from bottom to top. "Why does the top one third of the page appear first on the weather.com page load?" Sometimes only half the buffer gets filled before the video card sends its buffer over to the LCD panel. Rest In Peace Gary Speed 1969-2011!
Rest In Peace Gary Speed, who sadly died today aged 42. Gary Andrew Speed, MBE (8 September 1969 -- November 2011) was a Welsh former footballer and manager of the Wales national football team. He was previously captain of the Wales national football team until he retired from international football in 2004 and he remains the most capped outfield player for Wales and the second overall, having appeared 85 times at senior level between 1990 and 2004. Speed played professionally for Leeds United, Everton, Newcastle United, Bolton Wanderers and Sheffield United. Rarely troubled by injury or suspension, he held the record for the most appearances in the FA Premier League at 535, until it was surpassed by David James. Speed's death was announced by the Welsh Football Association on 27 November 2011. The cause of death has not yet been revealed.

Post to FB: on.fb.me Come on, we've all wondered this. There's been dozens of videos and discussions on the internet about it, but what actually happens? Talk is cheap, and several before/after experiments have been performed, but they all have one flaw. It's extremely difficult to visualize what is going on with the flow-fields of the weapon blasts. We planned and assembled several different assets including a high speed camera over a few months and then ran a test designed specifically to allow the viewer to observe the gas dynamics in great detail! Needless to say, this was a blast. Well, two blasts if you want to be technical about it (and we usually do). I performed an experiment to see what the differences were between semi-automatic pistols and revolvers. The advantage of shooting under water is that you can see the boundary of the gas flow fields almost perfectly. 2011 Chad Reed Crash-Millville(Official Speed TV Feed)
Footage of Chad Reed's spectacular crash on the opening lap of the second 450 Class moto at the Lucas Oil Motocross Championship's Spring Creek National in Millville, MN, on July 16. Reed had just assumed the lead, looking to take his fifth win of the season, before losing control of his bike and flying upwards of 50 feet through the air. Despite the frightening fall, Reed came away virtually unscathed, and after collecting his breath, returned to action. After crossing the line in 34th of 35 riders, Reed fought his way into 14th by the end of the moto. His 1-14 moto scores resulted in fifth overall, and even more importantly, Reed was able to maintain his series points lead as a result of his incredible effort.
