Aaron Ramsey - Arsenal's number 16, the 18 year old Welsh International made his move from Cardiff City to Arsenal in June 2008 for a reported £4.8 million pounds, in which Arsenal fought off competition from the likes of Man united to secure his signature. The main reason for his choice was when he was approached by Arsene Wenger and invited Aaron and his family to Switzerland to talk of his future at the Emirates and the potential Aaron had. Since his move from Wales, the young Gunner has made many substitute apperances for Arsenals 1st 11, including apperances in the Champions League and Premier League, scoring goals against Fenerbahce and Portsmouth. He also made a big contribution to the Carling Cup campaign during the 08/09 season against Sheffield united, Wigan and finally Burnley.

The first half passed Ramsey by, somewhat, but in the second half he was allowed more of a free role, the defensive shackles were off and he created 3 brilliant chances for Wales to score from. Ramsey's struggled for form so far this season but slowly but surely he is picking up his game and, for the first time since his injury, Ramsey really showed the vision and confidence to pick a ball in behind the defences.

I thought it was fitting. With Fabregas out, Ramsey stepped in for one of the biggest matches of the season and delivered sensationally. Since returning from injury Ramsey has struggled with form and has consistently faded in games. This match was different. Ramsey lead a midfield trio that pressured and hassled United's to death, winning the ball back with ease. He sprayed quality pass after pass and scored what proved to be the winner with a brilliantly placed strike. Ramsey is back!
