1967 www.amazon.com Watch the full film: thefilmarchived.blogspot.com The Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) is designed to test the muscular strength/endurance and cardiovascular respiratory fitness of soldiers in the United States Army. Soldiers are given a score based on their performance in three events consisting of the push-up (PU), sit-up (SU), and a two-mile run. Possible scores range from 0 to 100 points in each event. A passing score is a total of 180 or higher with a minimum score of 60 in each event. Army Field Manual (FM) 21-20 covers the administration of the APFT, as well as ways to conduct , squad and unit level physical training (PT) sessions and will be performed by close out formation. A soldier is required to take a "record" (meaning for official records) APFT at least twice each calendar year. Army National Guard soldiers take one record APFT a year. If, due to a diagnosed medical condition, a soldier is temporarily unable to conduct one or more of the events in the record APFT, the soldier can be granted an extension to allow him or her to overcome his or her injury and return to an acceptable level of physical fitness. If a soldier has a permanent medical condition that keeps him or her from conducting the two mile run, an alternate aerobic event (2.5 mile walk, 800 yard swim, or 6.2 mile bike) is taken. 1967 www.amazon.com Watch the full film: thefilmarchived.blogspot.com The United States Marine Corps requires that all Marines perform a Physical Fitness Test (PFT) and a Combat Fitness Test (CFT) once per fiscal year. Each test must have an interval of 6 months (same standards apply for reservists). The PFT ensures that Marines are keeping physically fit and in a state of physical readiness. It consists of pull-ups, crunches and a 3-mile run for males. For females it consists of flexed arm hang, crunches and a 3-mile run. 1 October 2008, the Marine Corps introduced the additional pass/fail Combat Fitness Test (CFT) to the fitness requirements. The CFT is designed to measure abilities demanded of Marines in a war zone. The standard Marine Corps pull-up begins at the "dead-hang" with arms locked out and the body hanging motionless. A successful pull-up is performed without excess motion, the body rising until the chin is above the bar, and body lowered back to the "dead-hang" position. Changes in grip are allowed as long as the feet don't touch the ground and only the hands come in contact with the pull-up bar. There is no time limit. Female Marines may perform the flexed hang instead of the pull-up, although even a single pull-up will earn a higher score than any number of flexed hangs. The flexed hang is started with the chin above the pull-up bar. The timer is started and does not stop until the arms become fully extended. The feet may not touch the ground or any part <b>...</b>

Al Moreno Marine Corps Physical Fitness Test (PFT)


6/26/10 Al did 27 pullups at this years Marine PFT at age 64, see new video. (10/07/09 update: Martin was able to re-calculate the correct PFQ score due to an error in the 3 mile run distance, as a 297. Additionally, a former Marine also calculated the score at 297. Al says "Im absolutely good with that") Al Moreno served as a Marine in Vietnam from 1968-1969. On May 18, 2008 at age 62 Al performed the PFT with other active duty Marines at Camp Pendleton Marine Base in California to achieve the highest possible fitness score of 300 points. Al is very proud to be a former-Marine saying "Once a Marine, Always a Marine!". Al is an avid rock climber and works hard to stay in "Marine Corps" shape. In 1996, when Al was 50, he qualified for and was selected to participate in the American Gladiators show. The Gladiators show was cancelled a month later before he had a chance to tape a show. Al is a private investigator and specializes in personal training and security in the Long Beach, California area. Al took part in the Marine Physical Fitness Test (PFT) with a reserve unit on the Camp Pendleton Marine Corp base, June 26, 2010. The scoring for pull-ups is 5 points per pull-up with a maximum score of 100, Al pulled 27. Al's overall PFT score was 266/300 which placed him in the highest of the three age range categories 17 to 26. Tacfit Commando - Military Training Workouts Program


zc.me Tacfit Commando is a bodyweight exercise program created by Scott Sonnon. This program includes exercises and routines that Scott Sonnon uses to train military, government, and special ops groups around the globe. These men don't need bigger muscles just for appearance's sake. They need to be able to perform in extreme circumstances and to be sure their body is in top form at all times. This is why the exercises in the TacfitCommando are functional exercises designed to improve flexibility, strength, stamina, recovery, and the ability to create short burst of extreme physical activity. In addition, the guys in special ops units don't have a lot of time to go to the gym and do traditional workouts. Often, they're no where near a gym, but they still need to workout hard. This is why all the workouts in the Tacfit Commando program don't require equipment and can be done very fast. In fact, the entire program is built on the concept on ultra-short but intensive workouts. The exercises are quick and the rest time between sets is short.
