EndlessSong of Silence (2006) Endless Song of Silence uit 2006 was Nanine Linnings laatste choreografie voor het Scapino Ballet Rotterdam, waar zij vanaf 2001 de functie van huischoreograaf bekleedde. Nadat zij voor dit gezelschap een serie dynamische groepsstukken maakte waarin ruimte, licht en vorm centraal stonden, waagde zij zich in Endless Song of Silnce aan dé inspiratiebron in de kunst: de liefde. Haar duet laat een relatie zien tussen twee mensen die balanceren op de dunne scheidslijn van geluk, verdriet en afscheid nemen. Hoe groter de liefde, hoe groter het verlies. Dit verlies werpt in Linnings duet voortdurend zijn schaduw vooruit. Nanine Linning gaf haar vaste aanstelling bij het Scapino Ballet Rotterdam op om zich in het binnen- en buitenland te kunnen profileren met haar eigen producties.

Synthetic Twin staat de Siamese tweeling als metafoor voor samen één en onafscheidelijk zijn, centraal. De extreme wil om je los te scheuren van iemand en tegelijk de wil om samen te smelten is een terugkerend dilemma in ons leven. Linning is gefascineerd door deze mensen die eigenlijk twee in één zijn. Maar ben je één als je twee hoofden hebt, en je lichaam twee gedachtewerelden herbergt? De barokperiode dient als achtergrond voor Synthetic Twin. In de voorstelling wordt dit tijdsbeeld doorkruist door de harde en snelle wereld van nu waar het rationele en het determinisme de boventoon voeren. Die polariteit van de mystieke en ongrijpbare wereld van vroeger versus de rationele en ontheiligde manier van kijken naar de mens en zijn lichaam nu, komt tot uiting in het ronde videodecor van Jan Boiten. Gigantisch uitvergrote beelden uit de schilderkunst van rond 1600 geven op een associatieve manier het gevoel weer dat Siamese tweelingen nog steeds bij ons oproepen: de geometrische paradox van twee levens in één lichaam. Linning werkt voor Synthetic Twin met sterk theatrale beelden; een danser die horizontaal over de 7 meter hoge achterwand klimt en daar een spoor van lichaamsdelen achter laat. Een groep dansers die langzaam gescheiden worden van hun wederhelft doordat ze de lucht in gehesen worden. Een danser die de gehele voorstelling broodjes bakt van Siamese tweelingen om ze vervolgens aan het publiek uit te delen. Een danser die onder een douche van Oerslijm staat als <b>...</b>

Cry Love (2006) De multidisciplinaire voorstelling Cry Love van Nanine Linning, ging op 9 juni 2006 in première tijdens het Holland Festival. Deze première vond plaats in de monumentale Zuiveringshal op het Amsterdamse Westergasfabriekterrein. Cry Love is een totaalervaring, een geraffineerd samenspel tussen de 5 dansers, de muziekcompositie van Jacob ter Veldhuis en de videokunst van Erik Lint en Roger Muskee. Het publiek zit dicht op de huid van de performers en wordt door het domein van de dansers heen geleid. De toeschouwer krijgt hierdoor de unieke gelegenheid om een voorstelling van alle kanten te bekijken. In een dynamische wereld worden overlevingsmechanismen en menselijke interacties zichtbaar; de mens in zijn nietigheid en grootheid. Het lichaam met uiteenlopende verlangens neemt daar een belangrijke plaats in. Enerzijds verlangt de mens naar fysieke communicatie met de buitenwereld. Maar ook is er de wens zich te verschuilen in zichzelf. Hij is op zoek naar berusting, naar een vrijwel onmogelijk gevoel van totale geborgenheid. Cry Love gaat over de mens die gestuwd wordt door zijn instinct, zijn driften en emoties. De mens die worstelt met zichzelf en zijn medemens. En sterft. Steeds opnieuw. Wegens groot succes wordt de Nederlandse tournee van Cry Love in seizoen 2007 / 2008 verlengd.
