National Runner-Up Jayhawks Receive Warm Welcome
Upon arriving back to Lawrence from its NCAA Final Four trip to New Orleans, the national runner-up Kansas basketball team was greeted by more than 5000 fans in Allen Fieldhouse Tuesday evening. The Jayhawk faithful were treated to a replay of KU's national semifinal win over Ohio State before a highlight reel preceded the team's introduction at center court. In between bouts of cheering and applause, members of the team thanked the fans for their support all season before head coach Bill Self wrapped up the evening with a final farewell.
