Probably not, but just in case you're curious, I've put together a quick demo. ** Please click the ads, all (not much) ad money goes to motorcycle charity www.riders.org ** This video shows a standard Ducati 748 Biposto with the standard, road legal exhaust, then a carbon Termignoni race exhaust, then with no exhaust at all. The microphone does it's best to capture the sound of the last one but I think you get the idea how loud it is. Incidentally, the high-pitched clattering sound is the dry clutch and is part of what makes a Ducati sound so crazy.

In this video you can see the Ferrari 458 Italia out for a little sprint in the fresh air with its distinct triple-piped, center-mounted exhaust. This time, though, it's fitted with a new system from exhaust specialists Akrapovic and true Ferrari connoisseurs can try to spot the differences in the sound. The new sport exhaust system helps the 458 Italia achieve an increase of 11 PS (8 kW) and 26 Nm of torque (19 lb-ft) over the standard exhaust all the while subtracting 14 kg from the curb-weight of the 458 due to its titanium make up. Akropovic specializes in titanium exhaust systems for both cars and motorbikes and supplies sport exhaust equipment to several major automotive tuning houses.

You know there were and there are a lot of polemics about the blown exhaust system (EBD). Teams blowing their diffusers rely on the throttle being open to keep airflow passing to the diffuser and increase the downforce on it. In this video you can hear how they sound like on different F1 cars. It's really particular listening to this kind of sounds but, IMO, you can get annoyed by this sound. This video is about catalytic converters and what causes these sophisticated components to fail. Any number of problems can damage a converter. And these issues must be corrected before installing a new one. There are four primary types of converter failures: poisoning, coated or oil-fouled substrate, overheated or melted, and structural damage. Learn more about these four types of failures and the common causes for these failures by watching this video. Bottom line, these components don't fail on their own -- an outside issue, often related to the ignition, fuel system, engine or engine controls, has caused the failure. And you've got to fix the root cause if you want your replacement converter to last.
