Why a Dollar & Euro Collapse Is Guaranteed

The collapse of the Dollar and the Euro is a mathematical certainty. In this video I'm going to prove it using very simple terms.

'Euro-dollar failing, BRICS seek more say in IMF'

With the EU's future shrouded in uncertainty, the IMF chief has set a goal to protect the world from Europe. Christine Lagarde wants to erect a 400 billion dollar financial wall around the bloc. The plan however is short 80 billion dollars, with hopes that the fast growing countries known as the BRICS group will plug the hole. Brazil, Russia, China, India and South Africa are ready to lend a helping hand, but only for a bigger say over the international bank. Meeting today in Washington, ministers from the group of 20 industrialized nations will focus on that funding. Final Nail in Euro: 'It's a programmed crisis'

Political parties in Greece are struggling to come up with a power-sharing coalition deal, sending the crisis-hit country into further turmoil. General elections on Sunday failed to produce an outright winner, with leading parties so far failing to form a government. Without an agreement, fresh elections would have to be held. On Thursday, Athens is due to receive 5.2 billion euros in bailout funds but several eurozone countries were reluctant to forward this money because of the political instability. As part of the bailout terms, Athens must pass 14.5 billion euros worth of austerity measures in June. But financial chaos has led to public mistrust of pro-austerity parties. For more on this, RT talks to economic analyst, Michael Mross. RT on Facebook: www.facebook.com RT on Twitter: twitter.com

Point Break: 'Spain last nail in Euro-coffin'

Eurozone finance ministers have agreed to boost the EU's rescue fund to 800 billion euros, to help countries like Spain recover from their crippling debt woes. Spain's financial crisis has prompted the government to announce its biggest austerity measures in over three decades. The country's vowed to cut 27 billion euros from its budget this year. It comes after tens of thousands of protesters hit the streets on Thursday, to fight against labor reforms. Michael Mross, economic analyst says that while the country struggles to rise out of its debt crisis, it will never be able to implement the new cuts. The caretaker Dutch Prime Minister is still desperate to push through budget cuts and has called on lawmakers to help him. The government collapsed on Monday when Mark Rutter resigned, as it failed to agree on painful measures demanded by Brussels. No Euro, No Cry: Swedish krona vs cash chaos

Greece is edging closer to its second bailout, despite Eurozone leaders demanding greater supervision of Athens' finances. Greek officials have already signed off on the creditors' earlier conditions which include major budget and jobs cuts. The move saw violent protests on the streets of Athens. But some at the top in Europe doubt the drastic measures can be implemented. If Greece doesn't get the 130-billion Euro rescue package it will go bust in March, when its next debt payments are due. Looking at Greece's downward spiral, some EU countries are glad they have decided to stay away from the Euro, as RT's Tom Barton reports. RT on Twitter twitter.com RT on Facebook www.facebook.com

'Germans dare Greeks to kickstart Euro exit'

Violent austerity protests have erupted in the Italian city of Naples, after enraged demonstrators attempted to storm a local tax office. Protesters threw paint and rocks at police, who then charged crowds and beat them with batons. The demonstration began after the tax office refused to shut down for a period of mourning in the wake of a man's suicide after a visit by tax collecters. This, as Europe experiences new tensions stemming from a deadlocked government in Greece. Germany, though, is already guarding against any possible fallout, saying the Euro could survive with or without Greece. But financial journalist Peter Bild is sceptical of Berlin's apparent confidence. Debt-ridden Countries IMF'd as "Euro Collapse" threat lures Bailout Bucks w/Michael Hudson

Follow us @ twitter.com twitter.com Welcome to Capital Account. European banks are under pressure to raise capital and the Euro could collapse triggering panic in financial markets and another great depression. These are all warnings coming out of the international monetary fund. Central banks haven't been waiting -- they appear to be moving away from the euro by buying more gold. We'll talk about it. And while we are on the topic of the IMF as policymakers descend upon washington for the Spring meeting -- it seems all about rasing money to boost the IMF's fire power aimed at putting out Europe's debt crisis. But what about defaulting on the debt? How much debt can you throw at a problem caused by too much debt? Economist Michael Hudson joins us to give us his take. He always says "debts that cannot be repaid won't be repaid." And in our loose change segment, we cover recent efforts by British MPs who say savers that have been penalized by the Bank of England's money printing should be compensated for it, while Citigroup investors say executives shouldn't be compensated so handsomely for poor performance. This is a first for big US banks, but it doesn't matter! We'll tell you what we think.

What happens if Greece leaves the euro?

Greek leaders have been struggling to form a new coalition for the past eight days, but with little success. A failure to form a government would mean Greeks would have to vote again in less than two months. Opinion polls show the anti-austerity Radical Left party, known as Syriza, leading the polls, and if they win the country could be pushed out of the eurozone. Al Jazeera's Nadim Baba takes a look at what that would mean.

Could this be the END of the EURO Currency? Greece Bailout & Austerity, France President Election

Could this be the END of the EURO Currency? Greece Bailout & Austerity, France President Election Euro falls to three and a half year low amid market jitters at French and Greek elections The Euro hit a three and a half year low against the pound as financial markets reacted to the election of Francois Hollande as France's first Socialist president for 17 years and the new threat to a eurozone break-up posed by the post-election turmoil in Greece. The Paris stock exchange CAC 40 index dropped 1.52pc in early trading with investors nervous about the growing pressure for a eurozone economic policy switch from austerity to growth, reflected in the French and Greek election results and President Hollande's priorities. The euro fell heavily across the board on Monday. Traders said the euro's losses, which saw it hit a three-month low against the dollar, its lowest in 3 and a half years against the British pound and a 2 and half month trough versus the yen, were likely to be extended in coming days. Stocks in Italy fell 2.2pc, the main Madrid index slipped 1.76pc while a 2.02pc drop in the DAX index of leading German shares was blamed on a local election setback for Chancellor Angela Merkel. Political stalemate in Greece after the failure of any party to gain a majority saw shares on the Athens market slump 7.6pc. The strength of the opposition to the Greek bail-out programme has raised fresh questions about continued eurozone membership. Alexis Tsipras leader of the Syriza ...

'End of euro road in 48 hours if no summit solution'

The euro's survival is about to be determined as European leaders gather for a key summit later on Thursday. They'll examine proposals from the French and German leaders, which could radically change how the Eurozone works. Strict budget discipline and a common corporation tax for the 17 single currency members are among the priorities. Chancellor Merkel and President Sarkozee are seeking to revise the 2009 Lisbon Treaty, which restructured the way the entire EU works. Britain is threatening to veto anything which might damage London's financial sector. The EU is already on watch for further credit downgrades if leaders don't act decisively in the next 48 hours. 'EU uses euro collapse threat to blackmail taxpayers'

As Europe's leaders roll up their sleeves and prepare to slug it out for the euro's very survival, German parliamentarian Frank Schaeffler explains to RT why piling new debts on top of old ones can only lead to collapse. RT: How would you grade the efforts by Merkel and Sarkozy to save the eurozone, and are they heading in the right direction? German parliamentarian Frank Schaeffler: No, it's a project that has been designed by those at the top. The European Union needs the steps that would bolster the market economy and that would be adjusted so that they could fit into the market economy. According to the rules of the market economy, if you decide to take on the risks, you have to bear responsibility for these risks. The projects that are enforced from the top will not be able to operate under such conditions. Such projects should work from bottom up. RT: European bureaucrats and their allies in national governments want to see more fiscal control over national governments, more control over their budgets also. How much centralization does the European Union need, in your opinion? FS: The European Union does not need more centralization. Excessive centralization has actually been the key problem and the reason why we are facing the current crisis. The euro has been a project of the planned economy developed and enforced from the top. The members that have become part of the eurozone project are very much different from each other and cannot provide for a common ...
