Amiga Longplay [004] Dark Seed (CD32)
www.recordedamigagames.org (Intro + outro has been included) I got my hands on the CD32 version of Darkseed and decided to record this one aswell. The floppy version of darkseed is about 6 mbs and have some speech in it and the CD32 is about 17 mbs. What's new with this version is that there is much more speech, and some changes has been made; some good, some bad. One odd thing though is that the CD32 version seem to have less colors in some scenes and animations compared to the floppy version... strange. Another thing that look bad in the CD32 version is the "FOR SALE" sign infront of the house in the outro, because in the floppy version it looked great, but in the CD32 version they have replaced the detailed text with HUGE letters "FOR SALE", they havn't even bothered to tilt them for better look. Well, you can see and compare for yourself. Ok, at closer look they have replaced the sign that the text is on aswell, and the sign is not as much tilted as the one in the floppy version, but still, they should tilt the text a bit The CD32 version is of course better :), more speech, some of the old voices has been replaced with new and better ones... except the alien police, his voice in the floppy version was much cooler, also the alien chick on the phone talking about the mirror, her voice was better in the floppy aswell. Also bigger and clearer text now, so they have increased the size of the text box by making the bottom a few pixels smaller to make room for the new font <b>...</b>

The DOS Files - Dark Seed (1992)
Dark Seed is a computer game in the adventure game genre. It was developed and published by Cyberdreams in 1992. It exhibits a normal world and a dark world counterpart, which is based on the artwork by HR Giger. It was one of the first adventure games to use high-resolution (640 pixels wide) graphics, to Giger's demand. A sequel, Dark Seed II, was released in 1995. The original game was released for Amiga, Amiga CD32, DOS, Macintosh, Sega Saturn and PlayStation. Both console versions were released only in Japan; however, the Saturn version is not dubbed in Japanese, only subtitled[1], making the game's story still accessible to English speakers. The Saturn version is compatible with the Sega Saturn Mouse. There was also a version developed for the Sega Mega-CD and even promoted for American release, but publisher Vic Tokai never released it. An unlicensed version was released for the Nintendo Entertainment System (NES) in Chinese.
