The concert for the blackpool lights switch on 2009 featured chart toppers JLS, Pixie locks, and legends Tony christie and Maddness. This video features the legendary Maddness and even though they have aged they can still rock a croud the atmosphere was awesome and Maddness was my faveroute performance of the night by far, Its just a shame they were so loud my microphone couldnt take it and if you had been there you would loved the sound it was great.

Thousands of people cycled along Blackpool promenade as the promenade was closed to all traffic bar cycles and trams. The idea of Ride the Lights is to allow Blackpool Illuminations Department to test the illuminations before the big switch on, and involve as many people from Blackpool as possible in enjoying themselves before the busy illuminations season takes hold.
