He pulls his dagger out of a bloody corpse. Seconds later a second man appears outside, lurking about on the deck. Both are alone in the dark...- "Somewhere Alone In The Dark," And so begins the rock opera Christ 0, a foreboding composition of love and betrayal, desire and murder and the ever-dominating question: How does the acting-out of revenge affect the one seeking it? Based on the novel "The Count of Monte Christo" by Alexandre Dumas, the story of Edmond Dantes will start as he his begins his campaign for vengeance. Christ 0 concerns itself less with the intricate web of revenge, as per the original story, but more so around the emotional depths and shallows of the individual characters. "Christ Zero = Christo = Christ O = No Christ" -- goes unflinchingly down the path of revenge for the 18 years, in which he was locked in the hull of the ship "Pharao" by his tormentors. Yet where does this come to an end? And who is the other? Who is Inspector X, the detective who is on the hunt for the killer? He is always close to Christ 0. But how close he is in reality, amounts to some of the most terrible things one is able to imagine.
