My review of the Dell Inspiron 1545. I had problems with the mouse doing weird things when I typed the first day I had it, so I have included (at the end when I nearly forgot about it) instructions on how to avoid that problem in case anyone has run into it. To hit F1, F2, F3.... you hold down the "Fn" (Function key) then press it. On my Compaq, it was reversed. You pressed the Fn key then hit the play button, adjusted the brightness, adjusted the volume, and so on. I'm glad Dell did this because I hardly ever use the Function keys - that was the old days ;) - unless you are into hot keys. I think I'm starting to like hot keys, though. However, if you want reverse this key functions, search the comments for the solution - my response to that very question. And I think that's about it. If you have any questions, just ask; I will try to help you in any way I can. :) I'm majoring in IST Micro Computers. (Information System Technology) I really love computers!! :D

Please read: This is the Dell Inspiron 1545 laptop running on the Intel Integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics chip. RalliSport Challenge is a rally game from Microsoft Game Studios, released in 2002. System Requirements: -Windows 98/Me/200/XP -128MB RAM -733MHz processor -1.5GB Hard disk space -32MB Video card with T&L support -DirectX 8.1 My Dell Inspiron 1545 specs: -Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium 32-bit -Intel Pentium Dual-Core T4200 CPU @ 2.00GHz, 800MHz FSB and 1MB cache -2048MB DDR2 SDRAM -160GB Hard drive -Intel Integrated GMA 4500MHD graphics chip -DirectX 10 I was playing RalliSport Challenge with all of the highest settings and at a 1024x768 pixel resolution (there is no widescreen option). I can get about just over 20 FPS when playing on the Pacific and Mediterranean tracks. The Safari tracks and Ice Racing tracks can make the game lag a little bit. I was recording the video with my Sony Cybershot DSC-W110 which records at only 20FPS, so what you see in this video isnt an actual representation of how I was playing. It also explains why I was playing so badly because I was holding the camera in one hand and using the arrow keys in the other. If I did have both hands on the keyboard, I would have won but my driving skills would have still been bad. With these computer specs, the Inspiron 1545 can also play other games like The Sims 2 with highest graphic settings without Anti-Aliasing and Juiced with low graphic settings.

*NOTE*: The game runs twice as fast when I'm not recording with FRAPS. Expect a much better framerate during normal gameplay. The game runs pretty well (avg. fps of 15-45) except on a couple of the American stages ("Wolverines!" is the slowest). I'm running the game with all special effects off, textures on low, and resolution at 640x480 (with widescreen). I can put the textures to "Automatic" (which is High, I think) without any noticeable fps drops (if any).
