Hi everyone! :-) This is my version of the "Soundtrack Of Summer" contest! This was very fun and inspiring to play, I hope you people enjoy it as much as I did! Guitar Rig 3 was used for all the sounds you hear in the track! Some notes on the sounds... At the beginning I am using a clean sound with inverted delay for some additional chord work (and just a tiny bit of the Ohmboyz delay plugin which is simply outstanding). After the distorted main solo part you can still hear the inverted delays used in the beginning (a bit lower in volume), but you can also hear a clean chorusy sound with about 400ms of delay (and one repetition) for some cool U2-edgy effects (Ohmboyz is there too, to give just a bit of space in the mix)! And of course there is the main melody of the song using a telephone effect! All and all, I tried to make it sound like a mini-song with intro-theme-solo-outro rather than solo over the whole song :) Thanks for watching!!!

At 7 weeks old the 4 kittens are starting to investigate their outside enclosure. Tula is keeping a very close eye on them to make sure they don't get into too much trouble and can find their way back to their balcony box, and house, up the sloping path. Tula has to work quite hard when all 4 kittens go for a walk as you can see by her carrying the kittens around during this clip. Pallas first rose to prominence as part of the progressive rock revival of the early 1980s, alongside contemporaries Marillion. After releasing their first, self-financed, live album, Arrive Alive, Pallas signed to EMI's Harvest Records. Their first studio album, The Sentinel, was an ambitious concept piece which used the myths of Atlantis as a parable of the then still-extant cold war. Shortly after release, however, the band parted company with singer Euan Lowson. He was quickly replaced by Alan Reed, from Glasgow band Abel Ganz. This line-up recorded The Knightmoves EP (1985), and The Wedge LP (1986) before falling out with EMI and going their own way. A third studio album Voices in the Dark was underway, but the band essentially went into hibernation at the end of the 80s. Re-releases of the EMI material in the early 90s provided renewed impetus and after various putative attempts the band resurfaced with 1998's Beat the Drum album, this time with Colin Fraser replacing original drummer, Derek Forman. The first of March I witnessed a very inspired performance bij Pallas at W2 in Den Bosch. I really love W2 for its acoustics. It´sa beautiful building as well and a great place for Pallas to perform. And what a performance it was. The band gave all they had and their singer was a real frontman. Their setlist was very diverse and there were a lot of highlights this evening. The only complain I have was that there were only around fifty people attenting the show. This band definitely deserves more. So hopefully people can get their asses away from the tv next time around and watch a remarkable band. Hope that this clip can add to it. You can watch the show in two part. Please enjoy! The kittens are getting more mischievous in their play when they are allowed out (they still wait to be told they can go out to play by Mum, not sure how much longer that will last). They are getting a little braver about playing out in the open towards the front of the enclosure, but still enjoy their chase games under the bushes. In part 2 you can see them starting to follow Tula upwards in the enclosure, some of the kittens are braver at tree climbing than others! The Pallas's Cat (Otocolobus Manul) or Manul is a wild felid, about the size of a domestic cat, living in Central Asia. It was discovered by the German naturalist Peter Simon Pallas in 1976. It can be found in uplands, hilly areas and steppes with rocky outcrops as well as semidesert areas and in heights up to 4000 meters. It is also known as "rock wildcat" or "steppe cat". I've made the video as a tribute to this elusive feline creature cause it (both literally and metaphorically)... rocks \m/ "The Cat Came Back" song by Harry S. Miller. Tula is allowing the kittens to go down into the enclosure a couple of times a day to play. She calls them into the balcony box, and when they are all ready to go, she tells them to wait there while she goes down and checks round the enclosure. On her return, when she is happy it is safe for them, she tells them to follow her down the slope. In part 1 you can see them learning to cope on the slope down when they are very excited to get down there to play and explore. Then go to part 2 and watch them scampering around and play fighting. One of the Record Shack stalwarts, this floorfiller was a High Energy cover of the Invitations' old Northern Soul biggie, but this version became more well known to a much wider audience. Laura was discovered by Edwin Starr, who produced a couple of tracks on her in 1982. I then saw her at Heaven, doing a live gig on a Sunday night, and was hooked, and signed her to Record Shack in 1983 to record this.
