Gang of Four - Damaged Goods (Damaged Goods EP)
This was the first single ever released by Gang on Four back in 1979 on the Fast Product Label. Three tracks appeared which were the now legendary 'Damaged Goods' on the A-Side, and 'Love Like Anthrax' (in a colder, more robotic version) and 'Armalite Rifle'. All of these tracks would appear later on the 'Mutant Pop' compilation by the same label in 1980. The versions appearing on this EP are unavailable elsewhere. Enjoy!

Episode 1 Synopsis: Malcom and the gang meet for the first time and begin to get a feel for "the game" as they kill rats and learn how everything works. When they're told by some elitist gaming veterans that they'll have to split up in order to find new companions and to build a more well-balanced team, they see it as a challenge to prove otherwise. In a desperate attempt to stay together and a refusal to let other geeks tell them how to play, the lopsided team of "Four Tanks and a Healer" is born and the adventure begins. "Four Tanks and a Healer" is a funny, two-part series created by filmmaker Larry Longstreth ("The Long, Slow Death of a Twenty-Something", "Batman's Gonna Get Shot in the Face") under the watchful eye of "Lord of the Rings" executive producer, Mark Ordesky. The pilot episodes were created in the hopes that they will one day result in a full-fledged series. Both Longstreth and Ordesky are nerds at heart - with Mark being a closet tabletop Dungeons and Dragons veteran and Longstreth being a fan of the genre's newer forms: World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online. "Four Tanks and a Healer" is an Adult Swim-style look at the lives these people live, from the sole perspective of their in-game characters. An evil gang of twins hold up a train to steal a magical Tibetan artifact, the Heaven's Bead from 3 dalai lamas. This artifact has healing powers and is a highly desirable item. A battle ensues and the artifact is knocked from the hands of a parachuting villain into the bag of an unsuspecting passerby. The passerby, oblivious, gets into his van and heads to Hong Kong. This is where the other set of twins come in; they are aided by the twin Laus and Uncle Luck as they try to get the Heaven's Bead back. A secret mission takes place, in which the good twins infiltrate a high rise building in order to recover the item. Although they initially succeed, the artifact is then passed to the wrong twin. Happy, Lilian's sister, who is suffering from cancer is also kidnapped and held prisoner in the high-rise building. The good twins eventually recover the Heaven's Bead and lose it again while rescuing Happy. The villains get away with the Heaven's Bead.
