I Go Off
This was my first ever film clip, back in '97. I Go Off was such an unexpected hit for me, although i was ecstatic, i wasn't prepared at all, and i had barely time to get my friend Rowie to lend me a few great clothes and shoes before off i went to Sydney. The filming was done in one day in various parts of Sydney, down at the beach near Bondi, at an abandoned warehouse that was in the process of being demolished, in Hyde Park, at another building that was also being torn down, in an old army barracks and up in the blue mountains. It was directed by two Sydney film students, who were also in a band together called Ego. They were incredibly talented and also did the next film clip that i did See Through. I had a beautiful over the knee pair of suade boots that i ruined in the ocean for the clip, and i bashed around my Maton a fair bit on the back of that bike, but it was more than worth it! I did my own styling, hair and make up, and yeah, i know you can tell, but still, i was only trying to have fun and ham it up a bit :) I enjoyed getting my hair done half black and half red, and dyed it th We ran out of light at the end of the day up in the blue mountains and so they filmed me walking behind the car with the red break lights on to illuminate my face!

I am an abomination. I am detestable. I deserve death. One of the most controversial topics of our society today is homosexuality. In fact, I would argue that it is one of the most divisive topics that can be discussed. In the Christian Community, many are quick to point out that Homosexuality is sinful, for Leviticus 20:13 clearly states: If a man also lie with mankind, as he lieth with a woman, both of them have committed an abomination: they shall surely be put to death; their blood shall be upon them. (KJV) But herein lies a problem, as many read this chapter and verse with a literal interpretation. The Word of God demands more. Biblical scholars continually remind us, that reading the Word isn't enough, one must study His Word. And with study comes learning and from that, knowledge. For the Bible is to be studied in the context of which it was written. Not literally one verse at a time, but in the context of the passages that surround each verse and the actual language recorded. The English representation of today's Bible is our best guess as to what our modern translation of the original Word was. Linguists continually study and refine what we know about these ancient languages and revise translated documents. The Bible must be read with this in mind, as a historical document with a complete understanding of the events that correspond with each passage.
